Boston by Night: 🏳️🌈 [New Player friendly]
Dark in the night of Boston something thirsts for blood. Your beast stirs and demands that you feed it but how will you retain your humanity?
About the adventure
Night falls over Boston. Things have changed in the city, the rise of the organization firstlight threatens all kindred whether you are Sabbat, Camarilla or Anarch. In trying times such as these the young must band together to ensure survival. The beckoning had called many of the elders away and now the power vaccume has turned Kindred against Kindred. The masquerade has been what has protected us for centuries but too many now know our secrets. Organizations like Firstlight have taken to hunting us much the same as we hunt only their hunger cannot be sated. Most of the elders are gone and in their wake a power vacuum forms. Kindred is pitted against Kindred in a race to see who can claim what was left behind but we must be careful not to let our guard down because now the hunter becomes the hunted. Tell your story as a neonate in the city of Boston, a city that runs a bit differently than other cities. There are traditions here that are older than the colonies.

So, it had been a while since I've played, and I was nervous to join a new game and new DM I didn't know. Within the first session, our session 0, Spoon made me feel welcomed. He's kind, empathetic, and understanding. He puts player's forward and ensures they get good story ties and interesting hooks. His character's are varied and interesting to talk to and make connections to. I've loved every game I've played, he has created a safe space to have fun and be ourselves, and our characters. Our sessions 0, he actually asked what kind of game we wanted to play, so we could pick how our story played out. More combat or more adventure or more politics --what have you, we got a say. That's so incredibly important. Anyway, I'm glad I joined his game, and it's well worth the cost of admission.
DM Guy Spoon is a great Storyteller who is organized, engaging, and most importantly kind and respectful. He writes greats notes on sessions and is very creative which allows for endless creativity in turn. The stories so far has been immersive and fun and I can't wait to see what happens next!
I am new to gaming with DM Spoon – but he has very much impressed me so far! We have had a few great sessions now with him – and each has been truly enjoyable. I think he is a great DM. I already see that he carefully listens to the players and caters for things for their characters. I also see he puts a lot of time and effort into his creative world and the people in it as well as the different story lines. From the first moment of session zero – to our latest session – He has worked to make everyone feel welcome and included. Our group has jelled remarkably well – with a wide range of characters and personalities. We have a lot of fun and laugh a lot! I very much look forward to our new game every week! I am playing in 4 other games and his game has quickly become my favorite. If you are looking for a rich world with well fleshed out NPCs and interesting adult storylines – I think you should give DM Spoon a shot. Wanted to update this 5/27/25: We just finished our 9th session with DM Spoon - and I am thrilled with the game so far. Under Spoons guidance we have added another person to the game who fits super well - and we have started to get into the main storyline - The adult themed gaming part is exactly what I have been looking for and is handled very well. I look forward to seeing our group every week and furthering our story every week! I cannot recommend Spoon high enough.
Spoon is a fantastic Storyteller! As someone coming from a traditional DnD background, I found VtM's RP-heavy, collaborative style a bit daunting at first, but Spoon makes the experience incredibly immersive. He masterfully weaves political intrigue and mystery into a world that feels full of endless possibilities. His deep knowledge of World of Darkness lore enriches the game, blending seamlessly into a VtM V5-focused experience. He’s great for beginners, highly engaging between sessions, and inclusive of all types of players. While it doesn’t stick strictly to mechanics, I appreciate that he awards 4-7 XP per session—especially in a pay-to-play format—it helps with meaningful character progression. If you're looking for a compelling and well-run VtM game, definitely check out his other campaigns!
