I absolutely love how Josh runs the game! He's not afraid to test the waters and mess with the players, but never in a bullying or oppressive way. He seems to prefer theater of the mind over rigid miniatures and prepared adventures (which leaves so much to the imagination)! Moreover, if you want to do something and it doesn't necessarily work that way mechanically - with a reasonable discussion he's usually pretty flexible (although obvious game-breaking or Min-maxxing would likely be resisted or downright denied!) Effectively, if you find yourself constantly limited creatively with engaging in the story and designing a character who worked mechanically how you imagined them then Josh is a GM who, if coordinated with and those alterations approved, is more than likely to work with you to let that Rule of Cool not punish the player!

Extremely helpful and very skilled at moderating any conflict. Additionally, been instrumental in me and my wife learning how to play in a digital environment coming from exclusively in-person TTRPG sessions (as well as integrations). Each session plays slightly differently, depending on what we are up to at the time - but it's always fun and engaging and I absolutely love the Stars and Wishes system (After the session you give a Star to something in the session you want to emphasize that stands out to you or really enhanced your experience that session, then a Wish is something you wish for. This is usually something like I wish we had more down time, I wish I could develop this relationship, I wish there was more lore regarding blah blah blah...) All and all, regardless of your experience I would choose a campaign that sounds interesting to you and regardless of how deep you want to dive in - he is more than supportive (and VERY prompt most of the time outside of game if contacted via Discord - However, it should be obvious that abuse of this will likely have him mute or block the user so use communication wisely is my advice to any readers out there.)
