About the adventure
Organized crime in the golden city of Val Vanath is at an end. The enigmatic hobgoblin Zakvok the Governor, fresh from taming the wastelands of Ghosttooth Gulch, has been elected mayor. Fueled by populism and righteous fire, Zakvok is cleaning up the streets, making the citizens of Val Vanath safe, secure, and bored. In the shadows of the Lowinbara, Val Vanath’s poorest district, you and your gang of petty thieves begin to hear rumors. There’s still coin to be made in smuggling, extortion, laundering, and more. Coin for those willing to play by Zakvok’s rules. With the leaders of the city’s most powerful crime families dead or in hiding, will you rise to fill the power vacuum? Will you adapt to the changing landscape? Will you make yourself an ally or enemy of Zakvok? It’s his city after all. This game includes: 🕵️ Beginner Friendly Sessions: New to DnD? No worries, Zakvokland is designed for beginners and veterans alike. Session Zero will establish our characters and party, rules are broken down into accessible handouts, and fun is always the goal. 🏣 Base Building: Immerse yourself in the shadows of the golden city and carve out your territory as your influence grows. Starting with a simple hideout, your crew can upgrade to storefronts, penthouses, and entire city blocks. 💰 Renown: The Lowminbara is home to the city’s most dangerous criminals. Will your actions bring leaderless gang members into your employ or put bounties on your head? With multiple factions vying for power, who you work with can be just as deadly as who you work against.

Meet the Game Master
About me
Hey new friends! Long time player of tabletop role playing games (with a gap where my life was taken over by military service and corporate America), I ventured into online GM-ing during the global pandemic. Baking my own bread didn't work out, but this has! Hosting games has been such a wonderful adventure for me personally, allowing me to keep in close contact with friends and relatives, to nurture a creativity that my work and life had put on the back burner, and (quite unexpectedly) make new friends on each adventure. Before GM-ing, I led small groups of 4 to teams of 200+ in both the U.S. Army and Fortune 100 companies. The skillsets I learned in order to juggle competing priorities, create dynamic and adhesive groups, and foster individual growth are skills I bring to my gaming table. The majority of my games are hosted in a homebrewed world and follow DnD 5E rules. At my table you will easily find life-long players with decades of experience smiling and cheering on those who are taking their first steps into roleplaying games. I lean heavily into collaborative story-telling and love to create lore around my players, as their backgrounds flesh out and enrich the world. While overarching campaigns may take us on adventures of world shattering consequences, many adventures are simply a fun night out with friends. 🎥 An adventure mashing together plot hooks from every Nicholas Cage movie? Let's do it! 🧟♂️Want to turn your favorite bed time story in a survival horror game? I got you! ⚡Just need an excuse to speak in a funny voice and spam Eldritch Blast? There's room for you here, pal. And if you don't see a game that fits your schedule, feel free to shoot me a message and I'll help get a game started or matched for you. Got a group a friends ready to go and just need a GM? I'm available for private one-shots and campaigns for groups of 4+. Can't wait to roll dice with you soon!

Creating your character
Characters will start at level one. We will conduct a session zero to finalize characters, review safety tools, and distribute world lore. Upon joining the game, a character sheet will be assigned in Roll20, and players are expected to have their character species/class/background decided at a minimum before session zero. If joining after the start of the campaign, we will set up a short call (30-60 minutes) to review and aid in character creation.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
While a camera is not necessary, it helps keep everyone connected and focused on the game. A headset and microphone are needed to play. We will be using Zoom and Roll20. No other app or subscription is needed outside of free accounts for both of those services. Roll20 is best used on a computer and not mobile.
What Elle McIntire brings to the table
I will provide the maps, tokens, music, effects, and lighting, and players will have access to my entire compendium on Roll20. Each party is granted its channel in my Discord server for group discussion, anti-GM scheming, and session recaps via memes. I also record each session on Zoom (for my notes) and am happy to share upon request.

How Elle McIntire creates a safe table
We will begin our campaign with a Session Zero to finalize character builds, establish ourselves in the Lowminbara, and review safety tools, party dynamics, and sandbox mechanics. If you join the campaign after session zero, we will hold a short call (30-60min) to review individually and assist with character creation before your first game.
