About the adventure
Cosmic Champions tells the story of a team of teenage superheroes in a wild and wacky futuristic space sci-fi setting spanning multiple galaxies and countless star systems. Players are encouraged to create non-human characters and tell larger than life stories of heroism, villainy, emotional drama, and boundless imagination. Hi there, I'm Ani a.k.a. Anistuffs. I'm running a Masks: A New Generation campaign in a space sci-fi setting, inspired by Guardians of the Galaxy, Infinity War, and Star Wars.
Game style
Rule of Cool (RoC)
“Rule of Cool” emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a system’s rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.
Theater of the Mind
“Theater of the Mind” uses little to no visuals for scene settings and combat. Instead, the narrative imagery comes from the Game Master’s descriptions and character action and movement comes from Players’ descriptions.
Roleplay Heavy
“Roleplay Heavy” games place the focus on the story, the characters, and the world they live within, and tend to lean hard into the various roleplaying elements of the game. These games will frequently find the party talking with NPCs, exploring the personal elements of their backstories, or even having emotional moments around the camp fire.
No previous experience required. The game has already started and we have a Bull, a Reformed, a Soldier, and a Nova.

How to prepare
This is a roleplaying game focused on collaborative storytelling, played using Discord for voice (and optional video) and Roll20 for rolls. So you will need: 💻 A computer capable of running web-based programs 🌐 Decent internet access, ideally using common browsers (Firefox/Chrome/Edge) 🎤 Decent microphone. Webcams are encouraged but optional. 🎧 Discord account (free) 🎲 Roll20 account (free) 🤩 Enthusiasm for the game. 🤝 Friendliness, open mind, creative imagination, open communication, consideration for the other group members. ⏰ Punctuality about attending the sessions. 👍 Reliability to inform in case of delay/absence. 📝A way to take notes (if required). After you sign up, I will reach out to you in Discord to have a one on one onboarding session 0 and go over the game expectations, safety tools used, content warnings, rules and mechanics for the game system, and anything else required. How will character creation work
Since this is an ongoing campaign, we will discuss what’s the best way to create the character, whether via text or with one-on-one voice call or during a session with the whole group, and establish inter-character relationships and connections with the campaign setting. As this is a space-themed campaign, several playbooks of Masks may require modifications to fit the setting.
