Your journey will take you from the darkest corners of the Old City to the opulent halls of the Lord Mayor. You’ll face moral dilemmas, uncover hidden truths, and forge your own legacy in a city where everyone has a secret. Will you rise to become a power in Greyhawk, or will you be just another story lost to the city's endless intrigues? The choice is yours in "Mysteries of the Free City." Prepare your wits, ready your blades, and dive into a campaign where every shadow hides a secret, and every decision counts.
Game style
Roleplay Heavy
“Roleplay Heavy” games place the focus on the story, the characters, and the world they live within, and tend to lean hard into the various roleplaying elements of the game. These games will frequently find the party talking with NPCs, exploring the personal elements of their backstories, or even having emotional moments around the camp fire.
Theater of the Mind
“Theater of the Mind” uses little to no visuals for scene settings and combat. Instead, the narrative imagery comes from the Game Master’s descriptions and character action and movement comes from Players’ descriptions.
This adventure is designed to be an intrigue, mystery adventure within the walls of one of the greatest cities ever created in Dungeons and Dragons, the Free City of Greyhawk. Join us to experience the sprawling metropolis in a high magic fantasy investigation adventure.

He is very understanding and very passionate! He has alot of resources and is very helpful to new beginners like I am! He is also forgiving! My first session with him and the group went a bit chaotic since I was excited, but he helped me get more into character!
I just played my first game with this GM yesterday, and it was absolute BLAST. I tend to have a really clear idea of who my characters are, and he understood immediately what I was trying to do and helped me refine my character to perfection. He was even excited about how deep I wanted to go with her, which was a really nice surprise, because it was the first time a GM made me feel that way. Come game time, I felt so welcome at his table, and he had incredible maps, scenery and character art. It was an immersive experience- and it stayed that way even when he helped me through the crunchier parts of combat. 10/10, this GM is gonna have to peel me off his table like a dried out piece of gum because I'm not leaving it otherwise.
An incredible DM! The commitment and dedication to make a great DnD experience is out of this world. He really put the work to make the session special and get everyone immersed into the world. Beautiful custom art and maps along with a deep knowledge of the setting based in lore books and novels were the highlight. The amount of work and resources he provided to let me create the character I wanted to play really made me feel special. Really looking forward to play on his campaigns for a long time.

How will character creation work
We use 2024 ruleset as basis but you can pick subclasses from 2014. A House Rules document will be provided on Session 0 that will help on Character Creation and clarify all available options, as well as the general rules of the campaign. We will create characters on Session 0 (rolls, decisions etc.) 1) Ability Score Generation Either of two methods can be used for Ability Score generation. 4d6dl or Standard Array. The generation will be on D&D Beyond. 2) Alignment All alignments are eligible except Chaotic Evil. Discuss your choice with your DM for approval. Alignment will be monitored and alignment swifts might occur if a player constantly neglects to follow his Ethos and Morals. Players may get a warning, once! 3) Religion All the deities of Oerth are eligible. Spiritualism/Atheism/Animism are eligible. 4) Races All basic races native on Oerth are allowed in this game. You can roll more exotic races with a good backstory, Greyhawk after all accepts everyone. Keep in mind that some races are more difficult to play and racial prejudice is to be expected in many cases. 5) Classes All classes are allowed in this campaign. 6) Back Story Players must present a brief written background for the character after Session 0 and before Session 1 (preferable some days earlier). Details for each race/class class will be provided even if you do not have the books.
