Meet the Game Master
About me
Hello there! I’m Marko and if someone had told me long ago that one day, I’d be a professional GM, I’d have asked “What’s a GM?”. But one look at something called a Player’s Handbook was more than enough to get me hooked. More than 20 years later, here we are. Funny how that works. I’ve been playing and running games for a long time and I can honestly say that creating worlds and stories is the best thing I can do with my time. Sure, I could say that my games are this or that, but the truth is, games are nothing without its players, so the stories I create change and shift to accommodate you, the player. My games are whatever we want them to be. Whether you are new to the RPG world or a veteran adventurer / scoundrel / space pirate, you can jump into a game that suits your preferences and play style, so if you’re looking for above all a fun and memorable adventure, you're in for a ride.

Can only do three tags, but it's honestly pretty much all of them. I've been playing with marko for over half a year now and can honestly say this guy is one of the best I've played with, and has become a good friend. Marko enjoys playing music, setting the mood, and having visual aids throughout the campaign which really helps for some incredible roleplaying. He also has a very open-door policy, and absolutely loves being thrown cool character ideas. Marko actively asks for feedback and makes changes based on what the players want. He's very understanding too. We all have lives outside of TTRPGs, so if you can't make it to a session that's no problem at all which has been great. For example, we are starting a new campaign and I go to him asking if it's possible in the system to have a character with certain powers. It isn't by rules, but does Marko care? Nope! This man pulls up a sorcery that doesn't exist in the game because he can and thinks it would be fun for a character like that. Does that always happen? No, this man has a life. But the amount of efforts he puts into his games shows. Most of the time I tend to not like posting reviews, and try to stay away from it but after sticking around for 248 hours worth of game time... He deserves it. Give him a try!
He was my first GM and one of the main reasons why I am probably addicted to Tabletop RPGs. We played that first campaign for 2 and a half years and it was always something to look forward to. His world-building is amazing and I never got the feeling that something is out of place. On top of that, I've never seen him caught off guard by some question or an action that we took. In one instance, I unexpectedly went to visit one location in a game, and what I got was my most memorable moment in the campaign. The description and the whole setup was awesome, I got chills just thinking about it now. Another thing I want to mention is his ability to enable every player to play his style of game, up to a point :) If you are a creative player, he will not only let you rock your thing, but he will probably reward you with some more lore about the world, some cool interaction, or maybe even a cool item. But, if you are not that creative, like me, you won't feel punished for it, you will still get a lot of your personal lore and storytelling. I definitely recommend this GM and if I had more free time, I would join every campaign :)
I had an amazing experience joining Marko's Vampire: The Requiem 2nd Edition game! As someone completely new to this system, I was a bit nervous—but Marko went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. He let me join the table hours before the session began, patiently walked me through character creation, and explained everything clearly so I could jump in with confidence. What truly stood out was how rich, immersive, and fully fleshed out his world is. Every NPC, faction, and location has depth and weight. Marko really leans into the vampire genre—capturing the politics, horror, temptation, and tragedy that make it so compelling. The atmosphere is dark and full of tension in all the right ways. You can feel the story waiting to unfold around every corner. The players at the table were also incredible—welcoming, creative, and great at roleplaying. I felt like part of the coterie from the very beginning, which made the whole experience even better. This was my first time playing Vampire: The Requiem 2nd Edition, and I’m already hooked. I absolutely got my money’s worth—and then some. Marko delivered a top-tier experience that exceeded expectations on every level. I seriously can’t wait for the next session. If you ever get the chance to play in one of his games, take it. You’re in for something special. 10/10 Game Master. Highly recommended.
This was my first game with Marko and my first time playing a Vampire rpg. He brought the game to life with varied characters, created a fantastic sense of atmosphere and let me try things that felt cool, even if they (perhaps) weren't strictly in the rules. I'd play with him again.
Character creation
Creating your character
During Session 0, players will make their characters together. Those new to Vampire the Requiem have nothing to worry about, the process is straightforward and I'll be there every step of the way. You'll receive detailed info with links to the Hearts in Havenport sourcebook, character sheets, and our Discord server when you sign up for the adventure. If you want, you can use the sourcebook to create your character before Session 0, but it's easier if we all do it together.
Session 30 update: You thought it'd be easy, ruling the city. That being on good terms with Their Majesties would bring you safety. And yet... Feuding bloodlines are gearing for open war, the Primogen Council have endless requests, and the nights are getting colder. For a glimpse of the Havenport mood, watch the trailer. https://youtu.be/BELbJD6IspE
What to expect
Preparing for the session
From a tech standpoint, you only need a free Discord account, a working microphone, and a decent Internet connection. Everything else is optional. You don't even need dice! You can use the Discord or Google dice roller, your own physical dice, whatever works for you.
What Marko [Anaxis Gaming] brings to the table
Hearts in Havenport is based on a sourcebook for Vampire the Requiem 2nd Edition and includes the following: - an entire fictional city with districts, points of interest, and map - less restrictive character creation - new joinable covenants - rules for bloodline creation - a playtested conversion of the blood magic of Thaumaturgy - various other tidbits converted from Vampire the Masquerade Alongside the sourcebook and setting, there's a free Session 0, a private Discord server, tons of custom artwork for all major NPCs and locations, and a killer soundtrack. I've been running games for over two decades and I'm not much of a stickler for rules-as-written, so expect creative interpretations of mechanics and plentiful Rule of Cool moments.

How Marko [Anaxis Gaming] creates a safe table
Lines and veils will be discussed during Session 0. Once that's out of the way, we'll maintain an open door policy and incorporate breaks into sessions as needed. For any additional concerns, questions etc., I'm available to message on Discord. Player enjoyment is paramount so don't hesitate to contact me with the specifics.
