About the adventure
The Radiant Citadel: an ethereal, floating city carved out of a single, massive fossil that snakes around a gemstone shard known as the Auroral Diamond. Abandoned and lost for ages, the Citadel was rediscovered and resurrected from its slumber. The existence of the Citadel is nought but a dimly understood rumour for most who dwell on the earth... ... But not you. You are different. You have been granted special permission to live on the Radiant Citadel. In exchange, you are obligated to use your special skills to bring peace and harmony to the Founders' lands. It is a golden opportunity: a chance to learn of the other cultures of the world, to meet your Dawn Incarnate, maybe even to have an adventure or two... ~~~ We will use Roll20, (for its VTT) D&DBeyond (for its character sheets/content sharing) and Discord (for voice chatting.) Detailed battlemaps, ambient music and dynamic lighting will be provided for immersive gameplay. I am available to field questions for newer players, as well as provide rules/character building help. LGBTQ+ players welcome!

Creating your character
Characters can be created before the start of the campaign, or in the first session. All characters must choose a Founding Civilisation for their character to come from. Consult the following document: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PdH-j4BB1HxQFtcdt_f_m8b6qfK-RLa-XF_FxQJAzzM/edit Once you have chosen a founding civilisation, let me know and I will provide you with a Primer including more details about your chosen civilisation. You may choose the same civilisation as another player if you wish. Character Creation Rules (2024 Rules:) - Level 1 - Use Standard Array or Point Buy, average HP - Use Encumbrance, Coin encumbrance - Allowed species depend on chosen founding civilisation (see above) - NO species with "Legacy" tag allowed - ALL other character options (Class, Subclass, Background, Feats, Spells) from Player's Handbook 2024 ONLY Character Creation Rules (Legacy Rules): - Level 1 - Use Standard Array or Point Buy, average HP - Allowed races depend on chosen founding civilisation (see above) - All official backgrounds allowed EXCEPT for any backgrounds that provide feats, spells OR any backgrounds that contain proper nouns (for example: Baldur's Gate, Orzhov, Quandrix, etc.) - All official classes and subclasses are allowed - Feats and multiclassing allowed - Use Starting Equipment, Encumbrance, Coin encumbrance

Players will need Roll20, D&DBeyond and Discord accounts, but will not need to use any paid features of those services. A microphone is needed for Discord chat. Webcam preferred but not needed. All characters must choose a Founding Civilisation for their character to come from. What Benjamin / Xiaofang / 曉方 brings to the table
I will bring the weight of my D&DBeyond and Roll20 accounts, which will provide content sharing for access to options in the core 5e books + many supplements. The game will include battlemaps, ambient music and dynamic lighting for an immersive, tactical experience. I will also use Discord as a platform to deliver detailed game logs and handy information.
