About the adventure

The gods are dying. The Titans are waking. And an ancient oath — the only thing standing between civilization and annihilation — is about to expire. Welcome to Thylea, a forgotten land steeped in ancient Greek mythology, where gods walk among mortals, fey creatures clash with the forces of civilization, and your choices will echo through the ages. In this epic 5th Edition campaign, you'll play as mythic heroes summoned by the Oracle to fulfill a prophecy and prevent the destruction of everything Thylea holds dear. For 500 years, the Oath of Peace kept the Titans Sydon and Lutheria in check. Now that peace is crumbling. Cities face ruin. The Gods face extinction. And your band of adventurers is the last hope anyone has left. You'll explore ancient ruins, forge alliances with gods and kings, sail uncharted seas, and confront Titan-level threats where every decision carries real weight. This is a campaign about becoming legends — or dying in the attempt. If you love mythic storytelling, tough choices, and a world that reacts to what you do, this is your adventure.

About me

Hey there, adventurers! I'm Trevor. I have enjoyed exploring the worlds of Dungeons and Dragons, both as a player and a game master. Tabletop RPGs have brought me so much joy – from the limitless creativity to the unforgettable stories and the amazing friendships built through our epic quests. Along the way, I've also explored other tabletop RPGs like Nimble, Blades in the Dark, Dune: Adventures in the Imperium, The Avatar Legends RPG, and My Little Pony: Tales of Equestria. Knowing these different systems and stories and the various game mechanics has opened my eyes to what makes a TTRPG truly fun and has helped me level-up my storytelling skills. When you join my table, you can expect a friendly and inclusive atmosphere where everyone, regardless of their experience level, can feel at ease exploring their characters and the rich world of our campaign. So, gather your gear, bring your sense of adventure, and let's dive into the amazing worlds of Dungeons and Dragons and beyond. It's time to create your legendary tale!

Character creation

Creating your character

Getting Started This campaign is already underway, so your character should be completed and approved before your first session. Join the campaign on D&D Beyond to get started. Content sharing is enabled, so you'll have access to all material published by Wizards of the Coast. Any homebrew content needs DM review and approval before play. Building Your Character Create a level 5 character using point buy for ability scores. For your race, you can choose from the Odyssey of the Dragonlords player's guide or any official WotC source. Select the starting equipment for your class and background. Magic Items You begin with two magic items: one common and one uncommon. Work both into your backstory. How did your character come by them? Were they earned, inherited, stolen, gifted by a god? Backstory and Background Choose or create a background using the Odyssey of the Dragonlords player's guide, or pick from the options in Backgrounds. These backgrounds are tailored to fit the Thylea storyline. Check campaign-core-info for setting details, and consider questions like: Where in Thylea is your character from? What's their reputation? Do they already know anyone in the party? What drives them to join? Submitting Your Character Add your backstory to the notes section in D&D Beyond and let the DM know when your character and magic items are finalized. Once you're approved, you're ready to jump in.

The current party

The party is currently composed of a Siren Warlock, a Siren Cleric/Rogue, and a Human Sorcerer. The group brings strong magical power, utility, and social potential, but it is currently light on front-line durability. Characters who can help hold the line in combat may work especially well with this party.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You should have a functioning microphone. You will need an account on Discord, Roll20, and D&D Beyond. D&D 5e 2014 rules will be in effect, though I can coach you through the game as we play. You'll need to create a character in D&D Beyond and have them ready before your first session.

What Trevor brings to the table

As a GM, my goal is to create a memorable, immersive experience where your choices matter. I balance rules as written with the rule of cool, depending on the moment. If your wild idea makes the table light up, we'll find a way to make it work. If the stakes call for precision, we'll play it straight. Combat is a mix of tactical and cinematic. I want fights to feel strategic, but I also want them to tell a story. Expect dynamic encounters where positioning matters, but so does creativity. Outside of combat, I lean into roleplay and character-driven moments. I voice key NPCs to bring them to life, and I want your characters to feel like they belong in this world. To support all of that, I invest in production value. I use curated Spotify playlists for ambient soundscapes to set the mood for each scene. For battle maps, I use a mix of digital 3D terrain through TaleSpire and 2D maps through Roll20, plus live terrain and camera setups for tactical encounters. I also use Campfire Cards during in-game rests. These are prompts that help you explore your character through roleplay with the rest of the party, and they consistently create some of the most memorable moments at the table. Finally, I supplement published material with custom content tailored to the adventuring party. This includes puzzles, NPCs, scene descriptions, locations, and encounters designed to fit your characters and the story we're building together.

Homebrew rules

Potions: Drinking a potion yourself can use a bonus action to roll healing or an action to heal for max. Administering one to another creature takes a full action and is rolled. Critical Hits: On a critical hit, you roll your damage dice as normal and then add the maximum value of those dice and modifiers on top. This guarantees crits always hit harder than a normal attack.
