About the adventure

So here's the deal: On the outskirts of the kingdom of Arenthia, there’s a tower that was supposed to keep the realm safe: the Sentinel Spire -- a magical stronghold that’s been standing guard for generations. But lately something’s gone off the rails; instead of protecting the kingdom, it’s making anyone who gets too close vanish -- poof, gone without a trace. King Auremond has thrown everything he’s got at the problem -- soldiers, mages, you name it. But no one’s made it back. Now, with no other options left, he’s calling in a favor… from you. You’re the kingdom’s last shot at fixing this mess. You’ve heard the stories. This is a one-way trip into the lion’s den. The journey will be dangerous, and the closer you get to The Sentinel Spire, the more perilous it’ll become, so you’ll need every bit of skill, wit, and courage you got to survive what lies ahead. But once you reach the tower, that's where the real test begins. The walls of The Sentinel Spire hold secrets that could change everything -- and it’s up to you to uncover them and save the kingdom. The stakes are sky-high, and the clock’s ticking. You in?

How to prepare

We will be using Discord for voice chat, and Roll20 for dice rolls and maps. Please make sure you have an account with both of these services. Please have a decent, working microphone/headset. Please come to session zero with an idea of the type of character you would like to play. Bringing character art is highly encouraged, but not necessary. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Are you new to Start Playing? What I provide

I will provide any pdfs of source books we may need. I can also provide you with a character token or art if you need it. I also enjoy doing character voices and weaving player characters' backstories into the game.

How will character creation work

Players will start at Level 1, and we'll be using Point Buy or Standard Array (your choice) to determine stats. Characters will be created together as a group during Session 0, so bring a few character concepts to the table. All officially published Wizards of the Coast 5th Edition material is okay to use, with the exceptions of Spelljammer and Strixhaven. All Critical Role material is also okay to use. I do not allow homebrew or other 3rd party materials (Humblewood, Acquisitions Inc., etc.), just for the sake of keeping everything balanced.
