About the adventure
Three hundred years ago, the Cataclysm rocked the world of Aileni. Nobody remembers a time before that, and very few records survived. From the rubble and chaos, a new world emerged. Most folks are now settled in to their new lives, but some are still searching for answers. This is a high magic homebrew setting open to new and seasoned players. We will be beginning at level one, milestone, with the intention and hope of running a full 20-level campaign. I am extremely open to homebrew concepts and live for the story! If you have an idea, I can almost guarantee that I can make it work! Session zero is required.
Meet the Game Master
About me
I'm a 5e GM who thrives on homebrew aspects and loves cultivating fun role-play moments for my players. My goal is for you to have fun - if that means a custom race, reskinning a spell or twelve, or making some stellar customized items, I'm all in! I've created a world from the ground up that I feel provides hundreds of possible directions for my players to go in. Come explore with me!

Creating your character
Stats will be rolled during session zero. Starting level is 1 and we will be using milestone leveling. Any official content is permitted, third party or homebrew will likely be okay, we will just need to discuss first. Please come to session zero with a character and backstory at least partially completed.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Please create a level one character with the standard stat array as placeholders for your rolled stats. Ensure your character has a backstory as I love to bring them in to the campaign. You can always adjust your backstory to better fit the world after session zero if you would like to. We will be utilizing Discord, so please have that downloaded. We will also be using D&D Beyond, so having a (free!) account is needed.
What Bookish Bri brings to the table
I will be providing access to content on D&D Beyond as well as custom maps and tokens when needed in the virtual tabletop Owlbear Rodeo. I do enjoy utilizing ambient music in the form of a Discord bot that can be muted if you do not enjoy the extra sound. I bring the rule of cool to the table and I'm always open to bending those vague wordings of spells and features to make something amazing happen. That doesn't mean you'll be allowed to break the game and go Super Saiyan, but we'll still have fun!

How Bookish Bri creates a safe table
I will provide forms to be filled out during session zero for players to set their limits and discuss openly any subjects that may come up in the campaign. We will also participate in post session discussions via text to ensure nobody is uncomfortable. I have a constant open door policy - players can speak up or message me at any point and we will divert the session as needed.
