About the adventure

Would you like an adventure where you get to sail the grand line and throughout the blues, no limits to what you can do? Then this might just be the game for you. Set sail into the vast blue ocean and pick whether you'd like to be a pirate, marine or a complete rebel. Your choices are yours to make, but one thing is for certain - no one can become king without a proper crew. After the previous Pirate King fell, many men & women set sail to try and conquer the seas, either you're trying to take over the sea yourself or to make sure no one does so. Come join us in the adventure of a lifetime! This is an ocean based campaign in the world of One Piece, there will be slight references to familiar characters but since this is YOUR adventure - there will surely be new ones. Would you defeat Arlong before he becomes a threat? Or will you make sure one of the new Yonko's never takes that seat? It's up to you. Not only will you have access to devil fruits and unique magic items, there will also be a complete system revolving around Haki and increasing the effectiveness of your devil fruit powers. Will you be a complete Haki user like Shanks and Rayleigh or will you awaken your devil fruit and prove yourself to be an individual worthy of respect. Why not both? You won't have to worry about getting a useless devil fruit (which I reckon there's no such thing), we're here to create the new crew of legends. Build your own ship with a complete guide on how to craft, upgrade and take good care of your own ship. Because one day, you might need that it takes good care of you. Expect specific rules for building but a lot of leniency when it comes to making yourselves and your crew look way cooler. Last but not least, you're growing to become legends. To build a legend, you'd need to put them through legendary struggles - if you're capable of pulling through such. You'll see there's no one you cannot defeat throughout all seas.

About me

Hello TTRPG enthusiasts, jocks, nerds and all people alike, my name's Nunzi and it's a pleasure to get to know you all! I've been playing D&D 5E and a couple other systems for the past 5-6 years, I've taken the role of the eternal Dungeon Master around 1 year ago. I'm a very enthusiastic DM and love to try out new things. I'm Portuguese, so expect that the NPCs end up with a little bit of an accent - if you're expecting an hispanic accent, I can emmulate it but it's not my actual accent! I've slowly fallen in love with D&D, it made me try to frequent theater clubs and explore the creative side of being a nerd - I'm an engineer by the way. My players have been having a great time and I'm always eager to learn more from other people! I DM for two different systems: D&D 5E - Mostly homebrewed games in the world of One Piece, Isekai like games, Zombie apocalypse, Bloodborne and also some official modules: Curse of Strahd (my favourite). CyberpunkRED - Most of it is homebrewed, but I've been having a blast with the Edgerunners adventure module! I hope you consider me to be your DM and let's go explore new worlds together!

Great DM. He's good at setting up the music and atmosphere. I enjoyed my sessions with him as his story writing is good too!

GM Ben

This man is quite an amazing storyteller! He has awesome knowledge of the lore of the setting he is telling me, and he also has great voices and sound playing to really immerse me into the story. I look forward to every game I play with him, even though we’ve been at it for a few times it seems like. I look forward to continuing to enjoy adventures with this guy, and telling unique stories with him for the foreseeable future!

Character creation
Creating your character

For character creation I like to emphasize a somewhat different way of doing it, but let's attack the basics first. If you wish to play a custom third party class, that would be handled through a google doc sheet and imported to Roll20 by me. Otherwise, just create your character directly in Roll20. The homebrew handbook that we'll be using will be given to you at the start of session 0. For stats, the method is quite simple. Our group will have at most 5 people, each person rolls 2d6+6 and I'll roll the last one. This will give us a complete array, then we repeat the process, and the group picks which array they prefer. Everyone will have the same rolled array.

What to expect
Preparing for the session

Players should have a: - Discord account and be willing to chat and join a discord group. - A working mic and hopefully a quiet place to speak, or you can use push to talk. - Stable internet - A free Roll20 account. - Webcam (Optional)

What Nunzi brings to the table

- Will be recycling some maps, but making sure to create some new ones too. Expect a healthy mixture of theater of the mind with strategic battle maps. - Completely homebrew system, classes and devil fruit + haki mechanics compacted into a concise file. Easy to understand. - Custom tokens for each of the player characters so that they can stand out from any other and to give that main character feel. - Private discord where you're free to discuss anything campaign based, together with some possible text roleplay during downtime (in between sessions). Leading to a more dynamic experience. - Always attempt to build the right atmosphere with the correct music, boss themes, battle songs and obviously will allow character to pick their own theme songs.
