About the adventure
You feel yourself losing three inches of height as you strap on your backpack, and heave yourself out the door. You were able to talk your mom out of walking you to your first day of school, (thank god) and the sight of fellow students hunched under backpacks of their own assures you you're walking in the right direction. You round the corner, and there it is; Valor High. Two wizard towers, one black, the other blood red, frame the school's mad science building. Bright purple and green lights flash from the buildings glittering windows. To your right hear the harsh grinding of metal against plaster as the multipurpose room transforms itself from an auditorium to a cafeteria. Past that lies the buildings sports field, where seven mechs wrestle each other on the ground. You hear whooshes above you as student fly in on their brooms, hover boards, magic carpets, and jetpacks. Valor High, the preeminent school for witches, space marines, battle butlers, thieves (gentlemanly and other), monster slayers, monster trainers, monsters, and accountants, amongst others. A wonderous cocktail of nervousness and excitement courses through your body as you make your way through the entrance. You catch a flicker of blue light as the schools portal rips open and the schools foreign exchange students start streaming through. Leprechauns, , trolls, and other humanoids of various shapes and sizes start swarming around. A Valkyrie swoops over your head and the ground begins to quake beneath your feat a cyclops falls in stride with you. "First day?" He asks with a kind smile. You nod back and his smile broadens. "You'll get the hang of it freshman." You are about to reply when a searing white light rips through the sky and strikes the schools lightning rod and impossibly loud thunder ricochets within your ears. "Ah the warning bell," the cyclops says. "Do you need any help finding your first class?" You hike up your backpack and shake your head. The cyclopes cocks his head and gives you a warm smile. "Well then, good luck, and welcome to Valor High."

View Profile →Character creation
Creating your character
Character creation will occur during session zero. I will start by going over the broad aspects of the game, and then turn it over to the players to discuss with each other what sort of characters they are interested in playing and what draws them together. Once everyone has a clear idea of what kind of character they would like to play I will work with the players to make that character a reality in the Valor rules system.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
The game is online so you should have access to a webcam and a microphone. You may contact me for a PDF of the Valor system, and reading it beforehand is recommended but not required.
What Sean Smith brings to the table
I will bring everything required for the game. This includes maps, tokens, as well as the rule system. If you find art you think depicts your character well I'd be happy to turn it into a token for you. More importantly I will bring vile villain's, duplicitous teachers, and desperately needed allies.

How Sean Smith creates a safe table
This will be a exciting game focused on humor, spectacle, and outrageous combat. Gamplay will be focused around fast paced arcs that will usually start with high school shenanigans gone awry, break out into socialization and investigation and finally capped by an epic combat encounter. These arcs will be bound together by the players struggle to thrive in such a tumultuous school, exploring how so many disparate genres, magics and sciences mesh together, as well as a broader mystery set at the heart of the setting. If you are unfamiliar with the Valor , it is a relatively simple point buy system designed to deliver anime style characters and combat. I will assist players with character creation, and gameplay itself is straightforward.
