About the adventure

Traveller is a crunchy, sci-fi, space opera. Fly starships, fight space pirates, and try to survive out in the black. Fair warning: combat in Traveller is deadly! In this game, you'll play as an experienced character setting out on a new adventure. We'll start with character creation, which is a mini-game in itself, in free, one-on-one sessions before our first paid session. You've been hired to crew a Far Trader from Caladbolg to Forine, hauling one of the highly-needed food shipments for the ice world. Should be simple, right? ... Right? Players will be able to build from this adventure into a broader, player-led campaign, if desired.

About me

My name is Tommy and I love introducing players to new games! I cut my teeth on 3.5e in 2007, moved to Pathfinder 1e, then headed over to 5e before expanding my gaming consciousness to include Traveller, Fate, and my own, homebrewed, rules super-light game, Kismet.

Character creation

Creating your character

We will have free, 1-on-1 sessions prior to our first paid session to create your character. We are playing Mongoose 2e, so we'll play out the character creation as written (no dying in character creation).

The current party

We'll play every other Friday (unless I'm out of town). https://travellermap.com/?p=-96.531!55.07!8.2

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Mic and Discord are required; webcam is optional.

What Sage Tommy brings to the table

I always embrace the Rule of Cool, but I try to stick to Rules as Written as well. I try to do voices, but only if they aren't distracting to the gameplay. The story is everything.
