About the adventure

🗲 ANIME 🗲 DRAGONS 🗲 CELL PHONES 🗲 CRUMBLING CITY BUILDINGS 🗲 EPIC MOMENTS 🗲 UNNECESSARY MONOLOGUING 🗲 BADDIES YOU SECRETLY LIKE This adventure is inspired by epic anime like Jujutsu Kaisen, Dragonball Z, & My Hero Academia! It's the very same setting I use when running games for D&D in a Castle, and as my players would say, "OOOOOOOOOOF." 😨😨😨 ***The Game*** Welcome to the world of Hiraeth... The land was once divided between those who could wield magic (Lightbearers) and those who couldn't (Shadewalkers), but everything changed when the Horizon Boundary cracked. ⛓️‍💥 Suddenly, ALL could see and use magic, causing chaos and upheaval. ✨ But that was just the beginning... The fracture between realms unleashed fantastical creatures and terrifying monsters into our world. 🐉👻 Now, the last bastion of hope is the bustling city of Cogitar. 🏙️ Within fortifications, you find refuge and build new lives. But threats still lurk beyond the city's edges. ☠️ From the haunted outlands, to the mysterious eastern sea, danger and adventure await. ⚡ Your story begins here. Will you help defend Cogitar, explore the unknown, or uncover the secrets of the Horizon Boundary? The fate of Hiraeth is in your hands! 🦾🦾🦾

Character creation

Creating your character

Characters will start at level 3 using any official content available from Wizards of the Coast (additional homebrew content can be used with prior permission). A collection of pre-generated characters is available to choose from as well. Characters should be created on D&D Beyond, in the provided campaign for the session, however, paper sheets are acceptable if necessary (I will be inputting the character on D&D Beyond myself). Pre-generated characters have a D&D Beyond character sheet in addition to a paper* *Paper sheet can be a digital PDF or a printed version of the character sheet with a picture of the information provided.

The current party

A New Season Opens Up! A Bard Concierge, a Barbarian Vigilante, a Rogue Scientist, and a Sorcerer Middle Manager in a arcane punk dragon city.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

The sessions take place on Discord* for video and audio resources. Audio will be required so a Microphone is necessary however Video is optional but a Webcam is heavily suggested. Characters should be made before the session begins. Pre-generated characters will be provided on request to meet this requirement. Digital Dice and Physical Dice are both acceptable, it is a matter of personal preference. *It will be a private server on Discord and the link will be provided upon joining the session.

What Jayden King brings to the table

I have access to the entire Dungeons & Dragons collection of Adventures and Sourcebooks through D&D Beyond and this access is shared with individuals that join the D&D Beyond link for the session. This shared access remains available for a minimum of one week after the session concludes.

Safety

How Jayden King creates a safe table

Players will experience an immersive roleplay experience with relatively flexible rules. Situations mostly involve Theater of the Mind, although battle maps are available for larger encounters. These games lean into the "Rule of Cool" with optional sandbox and hex crawling elements, but the focus of the experience is flexible.
