About the adventure

In the distant future, the stars belong to the stellar empire known as the Karrakin Trade Baronies. You will take up the mantle of one of their Houses major, and steer your faction to success in a time of civil strife. Fight your battles from within the cockpit of your mecha or prevent them from ever happening by skulking about in the shadows. Your actions will decide the future of your House. What future shall that be? This is a Lancer game set within the Karrakin Trade Baronies, an area of the setting influenced by space opera epics like Dune and Foundation. Alongside your characters you will be creating a noble House that will serve as the anchor for the entire campaign - your campaign will be devoted to charting that House's rise to power or fall from grace.

About me

"He’s like Mrs. Dalloway, but with dice." - my favorite review ever Well met, fellow human! Let's sit down and come up with a story, something that we'll be remembering fondly for years afterwards. Let's make up stupid voices and get all emotional over a fake donkey, let's turn up the battle music and feel tension as the enemy moves across the field. Let's create some badass moments. As you may have gathered, I'm a big fan of the collaborative nature of tabletop roleplaying. I believe the game runs best when I don't know what's going to happen next, you don't know what's going to happen next, and we're all just frantic with excitement about the next roll of the dice. We play to find out what happens.

Character creation

Creating your character

Characters will be created during Session #1, right after we've put together the outline for the major House we'll be piloting. Alternatively you can create your character early via the compcon.app site and send in the share code once we're ready to get started with gameplay. We'll be starting at LL 0.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You should utilize the compcon.app website to manage your character sheet and check for rules, as it is a very handy digital resource for Lancer. If you're planning on using any non-Core content, just let me know what lcps you are taking advantage of!

What Brayden brings to the table

I will be bringing the Foundry virtual tabletop, custom maps and tools designed for this game, a handy little music bot to play tunes during the game, and a wealth of experience with the game LANCER in order to bring new players onboard.

Safety

How Brayden creates a safe table

Before Session #1, we'll be conducting a Session #0 meeting to go over the safety tools in the game and the content expected at the table. players will have access to a X-Card module in the virtual tabletop itself as well as always having visibility to a shared Lines & Veils document.
