About the adventure
About once every one hundred years the “Quest” begins. People across the land of Telesma are chosen to be the champions of the gods. These champions compete to gain the control of the Crown of Command, a mystical artifact that allows the wearer to change the nature of the land and determine the fate of its inhabitants. You have grown up in a small village on the borders of Telesma. You were drinking with your friends when suddenly you all felt a sharp pain on your back. After investigation, you discovered a mark in the shape of a star. Together you made a journey to the larger village, Waypoint, where the elder makes her home. “You have been chosen by gods!” she exclaimed, “Your fate is now entwined with the fate of the world. Whether you are ready or not your journey has already begun. A normal life will now be impossible. Monsters, thieves, and other chosen will seek you out.” As you turn to each other for strength her face falls. “When the Crown of Command is claimed, the other champions have their life force stolen to power it. If you do not hurry then your life will be forfeit. There has never been more than one champion to claim the crown, but its power allows you to change the fabric of reality itself. In order to save yourself and your friends, your only choice is to claim the Crown first. To do so you will need to discover the god that chose you and unlock your true power. Go to the capital, Ironhold, and seek the services of the Enchanter. He will be able to guide you on your next steps.”

Meet the Game Master
About me
Hey everyone! I have been GMing for about 15 years now. I have run D&D (4e and 5e), Savage Worlds, Kids on Brooms, and Star Wars FFG. I have over 10 years of in depth experience with VTTs. My focus is to have a fun, exciting, and welcoming experience for everyone at the table. I emphasize player agency with their characters and the story as well as creating an inclusive, tolerant table that encourages each other. I am currently enrolled in school as a Finance/Accounting major so we will have any math covered. Seriously though, my experiences and life have taken me all over the world and that allows me to distil unique perspectives into an exciting and engaging game. I have run games for newbies and veterans of all ages. Hope to hear from you soon.

Creating your character
During session 0 we will build characters. At that time people are able to access my free character builder on D&D Beyond. Additionally, there will be a selection from pregenerated characters of every class. No characters may be made before session 0, but can be made on your own time after session 0. No homebrew. All official sources are allowed.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
A mic is required for this game. A webcam is recommended but not necessary. No characters should be created before session 0. Sign up to my discord. Follow the Foundry URL. Click on the Zoom Link. An understanding of the rules is recommended but not required.

Safety
How Daniel Stevenson creates a safe table
Initially we will start with safety when we have session 0. During that time we will have an open, no judgement discussion about various possible triggers and how to address them. This conversation will likely fall under the Lines and Veils method. During the game sessions we will have access to anonymous x cards that players will be able to press. If the player does not wants to remain anonymous we will go on break and I will await a private message explaining what we need to change to make everyone comfortable. After the session ends we will have a short debrief. There players can discuss what worked and what didn't for them. If anyone felt triggered, this is another opportunity for them to discuss so that I can adjust future sessions. Lastly, we will have a discord to message me personally at any time with any issues. There will also be a dedicated server that allows for players to address issues and use the Stars and Wishes method.
