👋 Hey there! I'm Jacob, a seasoned RPG enthusiast with over 24 years of experience, over half of which I've dedicated to GMing, including 10 years professionally. I've been on this site for over a year, running countless games and earning solid reviews. My adaptability and extensive experience make every session unique and engaging. I thrive on workshopping with my players, ensuring their ideas seamlessly blend into our shared narrative. I teach English through RPGs, co-founded a school to do just that, and run corporate RPG teambuilding sessions. While D&D 5e is a staple, I'm increasingly drawn to narrative-driven systems like Avatar Legends and Ryuutama, with Numenera, Blades in the Dark and countless others holding a special place in my heart. 🌀🌊⛰️🔥We play in the world of Avatar Legends: The Roleplaying Game🌀🌊⛰️🔥 Some key aspects of this time period and setting: ❇️Republic City: It's the heart of the United Republic of Nations, showcasing multiculturalism and technological advancement. ❇️Technological Advancement: Republic City sees industrial and cultural innovations, raising questions about the necessity of bending in a technologically advancing world. ❇️Water Tribe Independence: Both Water Tribes are now independent from each other after a civil war, with the Southern Water Tribe gaining long-desired independence. ❇️Spirit World Access: Avatar Korra opened the spirit portals, allowing free access between the human and spirit worlds. ❇️Return of Airbenders: Harmonic Convergence led to people from all walks of life gaining airbending abilities, with Tenzin working to rebuild the Air Nation. ❇️Earth Kingdom Leadership: The Earth Kingdom faces leadership transitions, from Queen Hou-Ting to Kuvira's dictatorship and King Wu's attempt to transition to democracy. ❇️Fire Nation Peace: Fire Lord Izumi focuses on peace and collaboration rather than conquest, with an emphasis on cultural identity. ❇️Extremist Threats: Groups like the Red Lotus reemerge, causing political upheaval across nations and keeping the world on edge. 💖 The adventure and the system are robust, but I will help you with everything - and we will wing the rest ;)💖 I am open to the creative sides of my players and want to help them go through my stories the way THEY want to. 🏺We play using Owlbear Rodeo and Avatar Legends VTT - You can open those through a browser, no installing necessary.
