Unseen Powers, An Urban Fantasy Campaign
Monsters have their own ambitions, even when lurking in the shadows of humanity. Modern day clashes with ancient powers hiding in plain sight.
About the adventure
To the humans living on Earth, magic and monsters are something that solely exist in stories. Such fantastical beings couldn't exist in the modern era. They are wrong. Monsters are indeed real, and many live right under the noses of those very humans that deny their existence. You, are one such monster. In a city in Wales where the shadows are filled with monsters, each trying to win a little bit of the city for themselves. Many factions vie for territory in this city from the shadows. Ever cautious of making a fuss, as the watchful eye of the Cult of the Dawn, an anti-monster extremist group searches for monsters to cull. Will you join one of these factions? Who will you decide to help or hinder? Your choices will shape the future of this city of shadow.

About me
Howdy, are you hoping for a relaxing time playing TTRPG's and want a GM who will give you a lighthearted and interesting time amongst the tribulations of modernity? Well look no further than I. I focus mostly on character driven narratives and adventures that don't take themselves too seriously. After all, people play games to have fun, not stress out about the impending doom of the fantasy world. I also make custom drawn character tokens for all my player's characters, although if you do have your own you are free to use those as well. I also am big on homebrewing and altering mechanics for a unique and interesting experience. Hope to have a good time with all of my future players.

He and I worked together to create a really cool and unique setting for an upcoming campaign. Very easy to talk to and is willing to work in things that are not core. I also really like how character-centric their story telling is, really gets you invested. I would definitely recommend this GM.
I wouldn't recommend this GM. I personally had to do a lot of the organisation of players, payment and even had to find maps for him to use in session. One of the things I wanted to use for my character was crafting - something he seemed to be happy to do and make a system for - however when I begun asking for specifics on how things worked I was met with accusations of "powergaming" and "optimising the fun out of it". On a separate occasion I made a suggestion to do with EXP costs and asked to put it up as a poll to see what all the players thought and was met with what boils down to "We're doing it my way". I think if you're looking for a GM it'd be best to look elsewhere.
Lots of player driven gameplay. Built the setting with the players. Drew every character to make tokens on the Virtual Table Top we were using. Great slow reveal of the backstory of an amnesiac player character where the player didn't even know their backstory(The Player requested for the Game Master to write the backstory in secret)
responding to my messages would've been nice, also why is he sending me a roll20 link at 5 AM? I tried apologizing as soon as I saw I had a message for a game and quickly got everything pulled together and was ready to join. however, the GM never responded to my text messages and after waiting about a half hour in the server and sending him texts, I gave up. I'm sure the game was fun but I wasn't apart of it. I would like to know as to why I was included in a game that I wasn't apart of.
Character creation
Creating your character
Characters will be made during session 0. Every player must have a session 0 even if they join later. You will be making a character based on a monster, if you have a homebrew ready for me then I will review it during the session 0 and make any adjustments needed to make it work. Otherwise we will be making the relevant abilities during session 0. Starting level will be 1 or whatever level the characters are currently once the campaign is in progress. NPC's and NPC factions will largely be monsters that originate from around the area, so mostly generic fantasy monsters and ones that originate from the UK. You may make a character who doesn't share these origins however. The Fae and any other stories about non-humans are included in the term monster.
Feel free to send a message about a alternate time to do your session 0. If you have any other questions also please feel free to inquire.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a Forge account for the Foundry VTT and a discord account. You will also have to join the discord server where we will be using voice chat for the game.
What Timekeeper brings to the table
I make custom made tokens for player characters and NPC's. I am all about homebrew and designing mechanics around my players. I will be using music during combat and other intense moments to enhance the mood. I also offer a Character first approach to story in my game. Your background and choices during the game will determine how the campaign will progress.

How Timekeeper creates a safe table
Lines and Veils will be posted on the discord server that we will be using for the campaign. At least one break will be planned per session but there may be more if needed. Session 0 will cover character creation and what lines or veils, if any, the player requests.
