About the adventure
Heroes emerged and saved Phandalin from the scourge Cryovain, an orc hoard and a cult scheming behind it all. For their valour Lord Neverember bestowed to them the protectorship of Leilon, in secret tasking them to investigate why the cult was so interested in the Mere of Dead Men. But this is just the beginning of this epic tale. Embark on a thrilling journey with me as we delve into the next chapter of this saga, loosely based on the three modules that come after Icespire Peak but grown to something unique to best suit the characters YOU come up with. All experience levels welcome, I am more than happy to help you with any aspect of the game. This campaign will begin at level 9. We will use Roll20 as our VTT, D&D beyond as our primary way of sharing sources, and Discord for voice chat and out-of-session communications. Don’t know what any of that means? No worries, I will go through setup and explanation in session zero. They are all free and relatively easy to use. During the sessions we will be on a voice call and while cameras are encouraged they are not necessary.

About me
Hi all, Charalampos here (but call me Babis, it's the easier one). I've been running tabletop games for nearly a decade, mostly D&D. During that time I've finished two multi-year campaigns, around ten that spanned several months, and more one-shots than I can easily count. It’s the one thing I will never get tired of doing and I delight in showing others the wonders of tabletop games. My favorite part of running games is when you can interweave a player’s backstory into the world around them, making the stakes personal and the tales more real. Hands down my favourite thing is bringing new folks into the hobby so don't hesitate to get in touch even if you don't know your Charisma from your Constitution. When I'm not making monster tokens I work as a game developer so you know I'm all about systems, pacing and making sure things are FUN.

Creating your character
I am happy for you to create characters beforehand and I am available for short calls to assist. They will be made using point buy, using the main books (PHB, Xanathars, Tashas, etc) and a free feat will be made available. We start at level 9. Any usage of homebrew has to be checked and approved by me - no dndwiki material please.
The group already contains 4 players and we are looking for the fifth to join. The four have been playing together for a while so we are looking for someone that suits the tables vibe. Respectful to one another and to the game this table is characterized by their commitment to roleplaying their characters, making sure everyone in the group is heard and having a heck of a good time. The characters made should be team players and adventurers, as in people who don't play it safe, are generally proactive and willing to take risks. With all that said, I can't wait to see what you come up with!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a microphone of reasonable quality, preferably headphones as echo is hard to defeat otherwise and a webcam is encouraged! You will need a roll20 account, a D&D beyond account and a discord account but I can help you make those if you do not have them. We will use DnD Beyond for character sheets and dice rolling although exceptions can be made. It would be preferable if you use chrome or firefox as your main browser. Finally I'll be sending out a Safety Tools Checklist before the game begins so I know what you all want to be on or off the table. The group already contains 4 players and we are looking for the fifth to join. The four have been playing together for a while so we are looking for someone that suits the tables vibe. Respectful to one another and to the game this table is characterized by their commitment to roleplaying their characters, making sure everyone in the group is heard and having a heck of a good time. While this campaign is running after an existing one we will still spend part of the first session going over setup and details with us going into the game proper if we have not run overtime. I'm happy to chat outside of the game to explain and answer any questions. This will be a game about bold adventurers so while there will be plenty of chances to roleplay, combat will likely be inevitable at certain situations. Safety Tools will be used and there is no space for racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, or transphobia at the table.
