About the adventure
Scourge in the Stars is a custom D&D 5e adventure set in an all-new homebrew setting. Players will find themselves in an expansive fantasy world filled with magic, culture, technology, politics, intrigue, and much more. In a world where the gods are under attack, mortal nations are on the brink of war, and the very balance of life is threatened, how will our adventurers respond to the shifting balance of power and the potential threats around every corner?

About me
Long-time 5e player turned DM. Excited to host a D&D 5e campaign in an all-new homebrew setting. I have had many great experiences since I started playing D&D, and I'm looking forward to sharing new ones with others.

Creating your character
Characters will start at level 3. We will be using DnD Beyond for initial character creation, where I can share my purchased D&D 5e source books. Characters will be created prior to session 0/1 and imported into Foundry VTT. I will discuss details of character creation individually with players prior to the start of the campaign, and players are welcome to collaborate with each other as well.
Every Tuesday. Beginners welcome!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need a PC capable of running Foundry VTT via web browser. We will also be using Discord voice to communicate during sessions. A microphone will be required. A free Dndbeyond account will be required for each player for initial character creation.
What Steven B brings to the table
I will be providing Dndbeyond source books, a Foundry VTT game environment, and a Discord server. After the first four sessions, I will commission character portraits for each player character to be used in future sessions.

How Steven B creates a safe table
I will be meeting with prospective players via discord call before session 0 to individually discuss lines/veils, other safety tools, expectations, and character creation. We will have a dedicated discord server to allow players to communicate with me and each other prior to and during the campaign. Session 0 will allow the group to get to know each other and their characters, get acquainted with the setting, and flow seamlessly into session 1 to get the adventure started. Players can expect a long-term campaign with a balance of combat and RP. I tend to follow rules-as-written with a few homebrew additions, and some exceptions on a case-by-case basis. I will generally go along with the rule of cool as long as things don't get too out of hand. And I always respect a nat 20.
