About the adventure
For two years, a never ending night sky has held the area of Ten-Town's within it's wintery grasp. It's people, largely ruffians and outcasts, know the wrath of the Frostmaiden when they see it; the Everlasting Rime, they call it. With supplies running low, only one thing is certain: The Ten-Towns are dying. The weather outside is frightful indeed. ===================================== WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM YOUR DM: ✨ Neurodivergent & LGBTQ + friendly atmosphere 📜 Custom 3D Environments to bring the Tabletop back to the VTT 🎵 Ambient music and atmospheres 🎲 Foundry VTT, highly customized to focus less on crunching numbers and more on the story itself, while still providing a tactical combat experience. 🎤 Voices. Valiant attempts at voices. ===================================== WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM THE GAME: ❄️ Surviving the harsh colds of the north 🍺 Mead 🗣️ Fleshed out NPCs 🧵 Tie ins to character stories 🐺 Terrors of the frigid tundra: Yetis, Wintery Wolves, Eldrich Horrors ===================================== Cover image by Sarah Holmlund on Adobestock: https://stock.adobe.com/contributor/201423/sarah-holmlund?load_type=author&prev_url=detail This Campaign features the 3D Canvas module by theripper93. Meet the Game Master
About me
Welcome, traveler, to my page! I am a huge fan of Fantasy and Horror, growing up on equal parts B-horror movies and epic adventures. I'm a bit of a forever DM, dating back to my early high school days, where going on quests and giving siege to castles turned out to be a wonderful way to combat my own anxieties in real life. I first fell in love with TTRPGs playing in a homebrewed game DMed by the owner of my FLGS. Since then, I've spent some time DMing professionally at another local game store, and at my personal table have had great success running campaigns set in the Forgotten Realms. (Curse of Strahd, Descent into Avernus, Lost Mines of Phandelver, etc.
View Profile →Character creation
Creating your character
Characters will begin at level 1, and will be made during session 0 using D&D Beyond or can be sent to me via filled PDF. We will be using point buy stat distribution. Race and subclasses wise, anything officially published on D&D Beyond is fair to use. During session 0, we will work together to create a party with character tie ins if the party likes.
Tuesdays at 5 PM CST! I will be present in the Discord call 5-10 minutes prior to the session to assist with character creation, as well as iron out how to use Foundry's 3D Canvas. Level 6 party currently consists of: Bard - College of Spirits Warlock - Hexblade Fighter - Rune Knight
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a stable internet connection, microphone, mouse, Discord app, and a DnDBeyond Account prior to the game's start. Webcams are optional. Links for the apps will be provided in the notes. Basic knowledge of the rules are recommended, but not required. Foundry can be a resource heavy software, so for the best experience, I highly reccomend the following minimum specs: - Relatively modern computer running Windows 10 or 11, macOS Big Sur (or newer), or Linux operating systems (Ubuntu 22+, Debian 11+, Redhat 9+, Arch) with support for 64-bit architecture. - An integrated GPU to enable hardware acceleration. - 8GB of RAM - Relatively modern computer running Windows 10 or 11, macOS Big Sur (or newer), or Linux operating systems with support for 64-bit architecture. - A dedicated GPU which supports WebGL 2.0. - A modern web browser like Chrome, Firefox, Opera, or Edge with hardware acceleration enabled. (Safari is not a supported browser at this time). The gameplay will be taking place over Foundry VTT, utilizing the 3D Canvas tool, so familiarizing yourself with the program beforehand will be beneficial, but not required. For those that need it, I'll go over in detail during session 0 how to use the VTT for the best experience possible.

How Tyler creates a safe table
Players can expect a rules medium game that encourages creativity and problem solving. We will be using the 2014 rules, with the option to request changes as a group. Gameplay will take place over multiple stages. Exploration of large areas will typically be handled via a provided map, roleplaying scenes will typically have a single image background with the characters portraits as popup to keep track of who you are talking to, and combat as well as close investigation will take place in Foundry's 3D Canvas. We will go over our safety tools in session 0. Players will receive a copy of the consent checklist filled out with what is okay and what is not afterwards. My messages are always open, and I will be sure to check on everyone afterwards to make sure they are getting the best experience possible.
