About the adventure
At first it seems like the sun glinting off the surface far above, a little sparkle in the corner of your version. But then it happens again. And again. Looking around, you finally see it, a tiny golden jellyfish, no bigger than a clam shell, softly glowing. You’ve heard about them before, everyone in Sepheria has, its a shepherd of those whose fates have been set by the Salt Mother and Tide Father. Its calling to you, choosing you, guiding you out into the clear waters of the sea... will you follow? Welcome to Sepheria! An underwater realm teaming with merfolk, humanoids, and creatures of the deep. This is a balanced campaign of RP and combat, where all players are some kind of underwater creature. The story begins with a mystery that needs a group of chosen heroes to solve...and would you look at that, you've been chosen! This is a long-term campaign, starting at LVL 3, with a rich story that welcomes all levels of player and is a safe space for all folk. Rule of cool reigns. Scheduled weekly with exceptions for US and Canadian holidays. Free session 0. Characters backstories integrated into the story and actively present in sessions. Custom content, maps, monsters and lore await! Let's go on an adventure :D

About me
Calling all elven accountants, hobbity-hikers, dungeon dwellers, tree top crawlers, library goblins and adventurers in search of a mystery, a laugh and a roll of the dice ;) I'm a 34 year old Canadian storyteller, using TTRG's to escape... well reality. I'm a writer, leaning heavily on homebrew, with custom world designs, physics, player races and items. I am a facilitator by training, so I'm all about a fun space where we can all play, escape and explore. I'm the right DM if you are looking for quirky, story driven, sandbox games, big time rule of cool dynamics, safe spaces and thoughtful integration of your character and backstory into new worlds you have yet to explore! Games are a balance of RP, exploration and combat, but my heart skips a beat for those messy little backstories that keep you up at night. My campaigns are slow burn, with narrative plots that unfold piece by piece. If you are looking for instant gratification and clear understanding of plot from session 1, I’m probably not your GM. But if you are looking for morally grey, complex stories that your character unravels session by session, I’ve got you. Love new players! Love player contributions to world building! Love whatever crazy thing you want to do that is going to absolutely derail the whole group into a fit of laughter and bubbles. Not interested in players who bring non-inclusive energy, don't want to share space, or are looking to put others down. Racism, homophobia, transphobia, fatphobia, sexism, any other ism, obia or characteristic based violence between characters or players is absolutely unwelcome. Let's just not. And say we didn't. Let's go on an adventure! Please contact for custom worlds, happy to bring your imagination to life :D

Creating your character
D&D Beyond used for online character sheets. If attending Session 0, no character preparation required. If joining after session 0, then please come prepared with a level 3 character or contact me for support :D Level: 3 Coin: 3d20 silver + 3d20 gold OR Standard Character sheets: DnD beyond Character stats: Standard array, rolling through DnD beyond (4d6 drop the lowest die), or point buy (27 points) Equipment: starting equipment Optional magic items: 2 common items or 1 uncommon Sources: all but Rick and Morty and Minecraft. What ever homebrew you want to go with - just message the DM first. Preferences: optional class features ON, Milestone Advancement, Hit Point Type = fixed or manual, whichever you like, Prerequisites for feats and multi-classing on. Races: Any basic 5e race is good with the exception of Aarakocra. If you are thinking of playing a more... obscure (?) race, just chat with me and I can take a look. Just overall remember this is underwater. We can also open the races up to include water based species. Feel free to play: turtlefolk, octofolk, bullywug, kuo-toa, lizard folk, merrow, myconids, sahuagin, or slaad. If the race you pick is not naturally amphibious, the assumption is that it is a breed of merfolk, (human mermaid, dwarven mermaid etc). Super open to ideas, feel free to homebrew! We've had shark folk, sea urchin folk, harpies and eels all play in these sessions. No backstories required, but if you have them, I will 100% integrate them into the world.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Internet and mic required (through Discord). Video encouraged but not required. Roll20, Discord and D&D Beyond used for game play. 1:1 Messaging through Discord available to help with character creation (character sheets can be provided as well). Players can roll physical dice or use D&D Beyond. Review of community rules required prior to game play if you do not attend session 0.
What Dunder brings to the table
Digital resources to support immersion (e.g. the note you find in a locket), custom battle maps, homebrewed lore, custom player icons, new whacky and whimsy monsters you have never encountered before, role play and improv as your characters interact with the custom world and jokes. Many, many jokes - and at least half of them are funny, I promise :)
Homebrew rules
-Opportunity attacks are at disadvantage for players and enemies. This is overridden if you take a feat or have a class feature specific to opportunity attacks. -Dice rolls can be manual or digital. -Drinking a potion is a bonus action if the potion is in your possession. -flanking is active -Inspiration from the DM is 1D6 that can be applied to attack roles, ability checks, saves and damage once the role is known but before you know the outcome. -Guidance must be given to a player before their role and context matters, if it is not reasonable that the player giving Guidance would know what is going on at the time of the roll, they cannot give Guidance.

How Dunder creates a safe table
Session 0 will focus on building a community within the party. We will discuss the best way of playing together, outline what we need to have a good time and review in game tools for how to take care of ourselves during sessions. Every new player will have a private 1:1 message or call with the DM to discuss anything they need to feel safe and have fun. Every session includes a break and a debrief at the end of game play. Regular check ins from the DM over direct messaging, Icks/X/N/O's shared in game or over direct message through Discord. Games are played in Roll20, with voice and optional video on discord and character sheets on DnD Beyond.
