Tomb of Annihilation
In the ancient land of Chult lies the secret to the Death Curse. Race with your allies to discover it before your enemies do first.
About the adventure
You have been cut off from the realm of the dead. Before, you weren't scared of adventuring because if you died there was always an easy chance of resurrection. Now, you watch as seasoned adventurers around the world have their souls dragged away from them. The rules have changed. If you die, you die, and not even the clerics of the great cities know where you soul will go. If you wish to find answers and set the world to rights, you will need to travel to the longstanding island of Chult. Somewhere deep in the jungle there is something that is throwing the whole world into chaos.

About me
I've been running games for six years and played over 40 different systems and settings! I'm a story-focused gamer who prioritizes making sure everyone has a good time while also being respectful of the game and *most importantly* each other. I use safety tools, I homebrew rulesets and plotlines, and I absolutely use the rule of cool. As a player, I'm big on character-based reactions, attempting voices, getting deep into backstory, fun battle scenes when the game has that structured in, and badass one-liners.

Eryn is a fantastic GM! From the beginning she made sure that all of us felt safe, comfortable, and excited. Throughout our session she ensured that each player got to have fun in the spotlight, played to our strengths (both our characters' and our own). The world she conjured was alive - our actions had real effect on the story. Her knowledge of TTRPG systems is only outclassed by her commitment to an entertaining, fulfilling experience. Eryn is the rare type of GM who should be emulated by other GMs.
Eryn provided us with a fantastic first session and I am looking forward to playing more with her at the helm. She goes out of her way to create a safe space to play, encourages player creativity, and makes good use of the tools at her disposal for running a fun session. We also finished our session 0 with time to spare and she was more than willing to use the extra time to start the campaign, which was a pleasant surprise. 10/10 would play with again.
Eryn was a great GM to help teach new players about the goings on about different gaming techniques. As an entirely new player myself, it was super helpful to have her help explain things, both as in World information as well as game mechanics. She is also an awesome storyteller, understands the information backwards and forwards, and helps to set the mood (but I couldn't pick all the options!). Overall, a great GM.
Eryn is a great GM! My favorite part of her GM'ing style is how willing she is to roll with the punches. No player idea is too stupid or ludicrous; she wholeheartedly invites her players to bring their wildest concepts and roleplay to the maximum. A real "yes-and"-er, she understands how to make players feel welcome and safe to try new things.
Character creation
Creating your character
Before you play, we will discuss character creation. Please make your character sheet before your first session. Pre-made characters will also be available!
No prior DnD experience necessary! Come play in a massive adventure with cities, jungle, dinosaurs, zombies, and the manipulations of gods.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We will use Discord for gameplay (link will be provided). Please have a working mic, and video is optional but preferred. Create an account on Roll20 (for battle maps). Character sheets can be made using DnD Beyond or Roll20 (but again we can discuss in session zero). You can use your own dice or a digital roller.
What Eryn brings to the table
I will bring all of the digital assets - maps, character art tokens for Roll20, background ambient music, etc. For everything else, I use theater of the mind and role play and improv skills to make your choices matter

How Eryn creates a safe table
Players can expect a massive, open-world map to explore and make their own. This is a dangerous campaign where many creatures attack outright so there will be a lot of battle unless you think quickly or be clever and use other skillsets. The rule of cool is always in effect. Session zero will be the chance to discuss safety tools and any gameplay vibes/requests/questions the players have. I have a zero-tolerance policy for racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, or any other kind of hate speech or action. If you exhibit any of these behaviors I will kick you out of the game.
