About the adventure

Life in the Northern Reach has never been easy. It's always cold, going outside the walls of a town or village is treacherous, and there's a whole season of night. However, when it's good, it's very good. There's a peace out here that you can't find anywhere else in Convergence and a beauty that is hard to rival, given the dancing lights that add a sparkling backdrop to the moonlit ice and snow. Sadly, during the peak of this most recent summer, the dancing lights were stolen from us. You've been looking out into the northern sky hoping to see even the slightest twinkle return. You are beginning to lose hope as what promises to be a very dark winter approaches. Help the party solve the mystery of the missing light and perhaps learn more about what is afflicting your world.

About me

Hello! I have been playing and hosting TTRPG for 22 years. I enjoy playing, but it doesn't fulfill me the way hosting a game does. This is my life's passion. I have my own original world, named Convergence, that's large enough to accommodate multiple interlacing stories over distance and time. I'm also a classically trained chef, a writer(of course), and I love to create miniature art. I can accommodate new and experienced players alike. I love to teach; watching people make progress and develop personal play-styles is very fulfilling for me. My world awaits. Will you join me? -AJ, DM

AJ is an absolutely fantastic Dungeon Master. As a first-time D&D player, I was nervous about diving into the game, but AJ made the experience not only accessible but incredibly fun. They have a calm and patient demeanor that is perfect for newcomers, yet their enthusiasm shines through during key moments in the game, making every session a memorable one. The homebrew world AJ has created is nothing short of spectacular. It's clear that they pour a lot of creativity and thought into every aspect of the campaign, and they genuinely listen to what our party wants. AJ is always open to incorporating our character ideas, custom weapons, or even specific enemies we'd like to face. This level of player engagement makes the game feel personalized and immersive. AJ excels in creating an inclusive and safe environment where everyone feels welcome. Their knowledge of the rules is solid, and they also embrace the "rule of cool," which adds an extra layer of excitement to the game. They set the mood perfectly with their storytelling, which is both compelling and imaginative, making it easy to get lost in the world they've built. If I had to pick just three tags to describe AJ, it would be: "Inclusive and Safe," "Great for Beginners," and "World Builder." But honestly, they excel in so many areas—be it their visual aids, which are always impressive, or their knack for bringing characters to life with fun and diverse voices. If you're looking for a new campaign or just interested in exploring the world of D&D, do yourself a favor and join one of AJ's games. You won’t regret it!

Playing a really excellent home brewed campaign with AJ. They were thoughtful in the way they brought us strangers (both irl & in game) together and encouraging to me - who has never played before. The virtual play thing has its drawbacks, but AJ’s beautiful physical scenes brings the world to life. They also took some time to do some 1:1 work so I could learn some of the lore & feel more confident in my role & I’m keeping my notes.

He’s a great DM who sets up the story so well you feel like you’re in it. Very helpful with character development. I 100% recommend a game with him.

It may only be session 0, but AJ did an amazing job of making us all feel welcome and heard, he walked us through character building and our backstories and got us super excited about session 1. I cannot wait to see how this campaign plays out <3

How AJ creates a safe table

* The golden rule is that everyone has fun and that fun does not impede the fun of others. * Please feel free to approach me(privately) about incorporating homebrew ideas and concepts. * My goal is to tailor the experience to each person and the group as a whole. I will give you what you want, as long as I know what that is. ; ) Hope to see you at my table soon! -AJ, GM
