About the adventure
When an unknown island suddenly appeared near the coast, the elf queen sent in her best explorers and navigators to map out the island. They never returned, and the island was never seen again. Tales of the Vanishing Isle spread throughout the kingdom, growing wilder with each retelling. That story took place 100 years ago. Now, the island has returned. Whether you joined for the promised reward or for the sake of discovery, you are a vital part of the expedition to the Vanishing Isle. Your mission is to search the island for answers, recover any artifacts you find, and make it back home in one piece. Explore ancient ruins, uncover the secrets of an unknown civilization, and unravel the mystery in this one shot for 8th level characters!

I like to weave a dramatic narrative through a balance of roleplay and tactical combat, setting the stage for heroes to be brave in the face of overwhelming odds. Even when the fictional tensions are high, the game stays fun! I will handcraft an adventure for you based on your group's interests, featuring my own custom maps, characters, and storylines. Do you prefer a thrilling narrative where RP takes priority, do you enjoy a good dungeon crawl, or maybe a harmonious blend of the two? I will happily accommodate your group to offer the best play experience I can provide! Additionally, if you have an adventure module you would like me to run for you, I would be more than happy to provide such an experience as well! My price for a custom game is $30 per person. Creating your character
OVERVIEW. - Create an 8th level explorer. - Ability Scores must be generated using Point Buy or the Standard Array. - Hit Points use the fixed value only. - Multiclassing is allowed. - Legacy materials, Unearthed Arcana, and Partnered Content are disallowed. - No rules exploits. - No min-maxing. EQUIPMENT. - You begin with the starting equipment from your class and background. - In addition, you can have either one Uncommon magic item of your choice or two Potions of Healing. - You also begin with 500 GP, which you can spend however you wish before the adventure. Rules for Equipment - If your character is using any magic items that increase Ability Scores, the base score from Point Buy must be 13 or higher. - If a spell requires a Material component with a gold cost, you must spend the gold needed for that component. CHARACTER SHEETS. Create your character in the D&D Beyond campaign. I have content sharing enabled with many character options purchased for you to use for free. In addition, I can import your character from D&D Beyond into the Foundry VTT. OPTIONAL: If you are rolling in D&D Beyond, you can have those rolls appear in the Foundry VTT through the Beyond20 Browser Extension, linked below. Missing Isle is the second game in the Dragons! episodic series! Drop in and out throughout the campaign as you like without a consistent locked-in group, which means so commitment! Think of it like a movie theater. Verdant Trickery is the first movie, which will have its limited run for one week. Following it, Missing Isle will have its limited run for the next week. And so on! I am happy to welcome anyone to my table! This is a game for fun heroics, daring high-stakes drama, and equal parts RP and combat! I would encourage players away from bringing OP builds to the table.

Homebrew rules
All house rules are available on the Discord server for ease of reference. - Flanking provides a +2 bonus to an attack roll. - Moving through allies counts as Difficult Terrain. - You can attempt to move through an enemy's space by succeeding at an Acrobatics or Athletics check. - You can take the Study action during combat to learn the strengths and weakness of a creature you can see. - When you reroll a d20 Test using Heroic Inspiration, Advantage and Disadvantage apply to the reroll as they did the first roll. - You can use Heroic Inspiration to allow an ally to reroll (but not an enemy). - If you roll a Natural 1, you gain Heroic Inspiration. - Natural 1 always fails, Natural 20 always succeeds. - While your hero is Dying, you may continue to take actions, but doing so risks certain death. - Recovering from Dying leaves you Wounded, giving you Disadvantage on Death Saves until you're no longer Bloodied.
