About the adventure

Did you enjoy Highlander? Thought Old Guard was badass? Wanted to know more about the backstory in Hancock? Experience the march of the ages from the very beginning! A group of archfey have ascended to godhood and called upon you to be the defenders of their new world! 🔱Play an immortal guardian, created to be a defender of this new world. 📓 Don't memorize the lore of a new fantasy world, create it! Your adventures will become the legends told by generations! 🗡Defend and guide early societies as the gods bring settlers to live on their new creation. 🏔 Start in the Neolithic era and advance alongside the technology of the world, exploring and changing the world with your decisions. 🏛 Interact directly with the gods, as you are their champions! 🏴‍☠️Fight legendary creatures in epic combat, put your stamp on entire societies, and deal with the consequences of being immortal in a world where everyone else dies. 🏹 Deal with other worldly incursions and ambassadors from other worlds and planes of existence. 🏰 A low magic start might become high magic later, driven by your research! ⚓ Create domains or wander the world as traveling scholars or warriors. Of course, to become legends, you'll also have to contend with legends! The gods who created you are not the only ones bringing their followers to this planet.

Gameplay details

My games tend to put story first, and I encourage role playing and creative thinking! Big swings are fun! I will provide combat, exploration, puzzles, and plenty of role playing opportunities! These games don’t work if we don’t think like a team, and work best when we’re all working together. I expect players at my table to respect each other, the story, and me. We will be working together to explore characters and tell a story. Optimization of your character is fine, but if math is the main attraction of the game for you, my table may not be what you’re looking for. I treat RPGs not as games to be won, but experiences to be built. I enjoy challenging combats and will throw them your way, but they have to serve the story. I ask all my players to be good to each other! Be cool, and we shall have a great time together. I don’t strictly follow Rules As Written, but I don’t deviate from RAW for no reason. That being said, I definitely believe in the rule of cool, as long as it doesn’t bend reality, and I use a few house rules for fun, flavor, and ease of use. These will be talked about in session 0. My games are for a mature audience, and I swear like a pirate when it’s appropriate(in character). I welcome anyone to chat about expectations, but I do aim for an adult game, and as these games are fantasy/sci-fi, there will be conflict and violence and raised voices. I use the X(red), N(yellow), and O(green) card system during game play. This functions through Foundry with the /whisper gm command and as a module. No explanation is needed when these are used. Before we start I will also be asking everyone to fill out the Digital RPG Consent Checklist by Kienna Shaw and Lauren Bryant-Monk(Adapted from Monte Cook Games). I have a zero tolerance policy for harassment or discrimination of any sort, including race, creed, color, gender, sexual orientation, etc. I(the GM) reserve the right to remove a player immediately if they are in violation of this rule.

How will character creation work

Figure out who you want to be, as when we start they will quite literally have no backstory! Your backstory will be the history of the world. Character creation will take place in D&D Beyond with all official WOTC content being on the table. Custom ancestry through An Elf and an Orc is available on request, and other custom content may be considered, but I can’t promise anything until I see it. Character creation can take place on Discord before session 0/1, and will be discussed during session 0. I allow rolling once for stats, if you do not like your rolls, you can revert to standard array. Standard array and point buy are always available.
