About the adventure
"I can't lie to you about your chances, but... You have my sympathies." -Ash Hadley's Hope. A "shake and bake" colony located on the moon LV-426. Established in 2157 as a mining, research, and terraforming colony. By 2179 it is home to 158 colonists, some born there as the younger generation. Giant processors slowly change the atmosphere into breathable air still choked with dense clouds and wracked by electrical storms. Despite twenty two years of colonization, most of the planet is unexplored and a mystery. A crew was sent into the unexplored zone, further than any crew from the colony had been before. Four days ago Russ Jorden was brought back unconscious and infected with something. He later died and a snake-like parasite disappeared into the guts of the base. More infections have been appearing and rumor has that some of the infected have died. Supervisor Simpson claims that everything is being handled and that there is no need to panic, but you can't help but feel to feel the dark fingers of doubt creeping into your mind. Welcome to Alien The Roleplaying Game, a simple d6 based RPG that takes place in the fantastic world introduced to us by Ridley Scott. This one shot was created by the writers of the RPG and is designed to teach new players the rules of Alien as they try to survive the last few hours of Hadley's Hope. Play as one of the many pre-made characters as you struggle through the body horror reality that is Alien. How many of you will survive? Can you even trust those around you? Who knows what kind of monstrosity is currently incubating inside. Could they be the host to some horrifying alien parasite, or even worse some corporate ambition? Struggle for survival and remember, in space no one can hear you scream.
Meet the Game Master
About me
Hallo fra Svalbard! Warm welcomes from a dogsled guide in the polar north. I live in the northernmost town in the world where polar bears are a daily threat and the sun shines all day in the summer (and doesn't come out during winter!). During the working day I take visitors on dogsled tours through the arctic tundra and at night I play board games or run rpgs. Some of the local favorites have been Alien rpg and of course dnd. I have been running tabletop RPGs for a few years now and have been playing them since I was a kid. Tabletop gaming has always been an important part of my life and I love how it brings friends and family together. When my schedule allows I will travel to conventions such as Gencon and Youmacon to run games and to try out new rpgs. I am most experienced with Dungeons and Dragons 5e, Vaesen, Alien RPG, Mutant Year Zero, City of Mist, Vast Grimm, and Mork Borg. I have recently picked up Avatar Legends, Achtung Cthulhu, Death in Space, Tales from the Loop, The One Ring 2nd edition, and Big Eyes Small Mouth. My absolute favorite games to run are Alien RPG, City of Mist, and of course DnD. Feel free to reach out to "The Northernmost Gamemaster in the World" if you have questions about games, want to know what life is like in the arctic, or just want to see pictures of dogs.

Creating your character
The one shot comes with premade characters complete with starting gear and personal objectives. If people would like to make their own characters they are welcome to. Just let me know as there are certain gear items that will be off limits due to the theme of the one shot.
A beginner friendly one shot designed to teach you the rules of the Alien RPG. I enjoy running this one shot so if the scheduled time does not work for you feel free to message me and see if we can schedule something different.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a microphone and either a copy of the premade character sheet or your own character. I can distribute the character sheets in pdf form. You will need accounts on discord and roll20 (both are free). If you want to roll your own dice you will need a way of separating d6's into two groups. One for your general stats and one for your stress dice.
What Casey brings to the table
I will supply pdf's of the character sheets and the rulebook. I also will have digital battlemaps available for reference.
