About Casey
Warm welcomes from a musher/trail crew leader traveling the world! From guiding teams of dogs in the northernmost town in the world where polar bears are a daily threat, to leading crews on some of the most remote trails in the United States, I have run games in some odd locations and have developed my own unique style of storytelling. I got my start as game master in an old ranger station off grid in the Payette National forest running games for my crew. A fun way to kill time quickly turned into an obsession and now I run games whenever time lets me. Tabletop gaming has always been an important part of my life and I love how it brings friends and family together. When my schedule allows I will travel to conventions such as Gencon and Youmacon to run games and to try out new rpgs. I am most experienced with Dungeons and Dragons 5e, Vaesen, Alien RPG, Mutant Year Zero, City of Mist, Vast Grimm, and Mork Borg. I have recently picked up Avatar Legends, Achtung Cthulhu, Death in Space, Tales from the Loop, The One Ring 2nd edition, and Big Eyes Small Mouth. My absolute favorite games to run are all of the Borg hacks, Alien RPG, City of Mist, and of course DnD. Feel free to reach out if you have questions about games, want to know what life is like in the arctic, or just want to see pictures of dogs.

How Casey runs games
My main goal when running games is to heavily incorporate character backstories into the Campaign. I like elements of the story to revolve around who the character are and how their decisions change both the story and themselves. Because of this I tend to run games that are more roleplay/story heavy but will also try to balance the roleplay with combat to keep things from feeling stale. I will use puzzles on occasion depending on how much the player group enjoys puzzles. I also alter my style of running games based on the players preference and love to write my campaigns around the players backstories.

My games focus on...
Story and player agency. I like to write in a hybrid hexcrawl/iceberg style that gives players options about how they interact with the story. I never like forcing an option and let player creativity rule the story.
