About me

I've worked in the video game industry as both a World Designer and a Customer Support Director for a decade so I know how virtual spaces operate -and- how people should be treated in those virtual spaces. Bartending and bar management the decade before gave me a wild host of people and perspectives to incorporate into voice acting and scene creation. I've also done street-art, comics, installation-art, and spoken word slams... as well as television camera crew work and scenic design for theater. Somehow that hodge-podge of life experience created a rock-solid foundation for taking my DM hobby full-time a few years ago. These days I'm pushing 500 games and ready for more! Look me up if you are more Tombstone than Yellowstone. If you dig pulpy film and art, I'm your huckleberry ;)

Dungeons & Dragons 5e

Ran 633 sessions / Played 255 sessions

I've played every edition of D&D for decades and can easily say this edition encapsulates the best of the best of all the editions over the last 40 years. After running 650+ games of 5e here on StartPlaying, I can confirm it is an easy system to get into and it preserves the best of D&D over the years. There are plenty of fantasy TTRPGs now, but the big difference between D&D and the others is the sheer volume of lore for the DMs to work with. No other game has a sandbox of this size that a great DM can world build endlessly with. Also, D&D5e is great and extremely flexible for rules-light or rules-heavy; no Roleplay or serious Roleplay; in-depth tactical exploration or Theater-of-the-Mind abstractions... the variations of play are truly infinite. Don't let anyone else fool you; this is the legendary TTRPG for a reason. Grab a seat at one of my games, or just send me a message and I would be more than happy to show you around!

Dustnite

Dustnite is an amazing DM. His patience teaching everyone how to play Shadowrun was impressive and once we had our characters built and in the game, we were quickly immersed into the futuristic streets of Neo Tokyo. His knowledge of the system, amazing visuals, and use of a range of voices made returning to Shadowrun after several decades a smooth and painless experience for and the other players. 10/10 would recommend!!
