Star Wars has had many TTRPG Adaptations, and the FF version is the boldest and most mechanically interesting. Handling multiple areas of focus of Star Wars universe with equal focus and depth, it's got everything you need to get the Star Wars experience. The custom dice and mechanics are very fun and modern. Definitely would recommend this to anyone looking for a SW TTRPG!
Daggerheart is a fun, refreshing new take on the classic fantasy TTRPG. It borrows and synthesizes new RPG technology from many modern games into a best-of-the-best of mechanics and storytelling tools. The Hope and Fear mechanic is a breath of fresh air on so many levels. I've loved every game of Daggerheart I've played and can't wait to play more!
Been playing VtM since the mid 90's, and V5 is far and away the best version of the game! Updates to the rules, lore and setting really bring it into the current era while keeping and enhancing the old magic. The new Hunger and Humanity systems are a huge standout, and the rebalance towards street level play while allowing higher power with Ancilla characters hedge in some of the silliness of the old versions. I cut my teeth on old VtM, but I'm never going back with V5 around!
Matthew ran an incredible scenario that dialed up the action and the intensity. He was great with NPCs and describing the setting and atmosphere. He did a great job of balancing focus on each player, allowing for every to have moments to shine. All told it was an expertly constructed and executed one shot.
