About me

I'm fairly new to the world of D&D (5e), a novice DM & player. Although I was first introduced to the game in high school through YouTube series' (Force Grey, Heroes & Halfwits, Dimension 20), I didn't personally get involved with the game until late in 2022 when a group of friends mentioned they were interested in playing and said that I would probably make a good DM. In the time since then, we've done a grand total of seven session and they are level 3. Life gets in the way. Frequently lmao. As a player, I have participated in two short one-shots where the DM had pre-made characters. I have yet to play in a proper Campaign and create my own character, so I'm looking forward to that experience. Outside of the TTRPG world, I like video games (Apex Legends, Elden Ring, Cyberpunk 2077, to name a few current faves), music (mostly metal/hardcore), writing, singing, swimming, cooking, baking, and making terrible jokes.

Gray

Played 2 sessions

Gray did a great job balancing moments during the session, allowing our Characters room to RP together while also keeping the game moving. This was also my first experience with full Theatre-of-the-Mind combat, and they did a good job managing and describing the situation. I had fun playing and learning about the world they've created, and I look forward to playing more!

Played 7 sessions

Joe has been a great Game Master so far, taking care to give each player their time in the spotlight. He was very forgiving when my character died in the first session and allowed for a rolling opportunity to come back to life, which was flavoured as Godly intervention and actually changed my characters' class as a result. Joe does a great job rolling with the punches, adapting to the choices and actions of his players smoothly. There have been some technical difficulties with Foundry as modules are updated to the 2024 rulebooks, but Joe handles them with grace and always finds a solution. This is the first campaign I'm playing in, and so far I'm thoroughly enjoying it and looking forward to more.
