About me

I'm a streamer, gamer, and vtuber. Sometimes my games are streamed, others aren't. I created an entire homebrew world I'm proud of. I try to be friends with my players because after all, we are playing a game together and it's better to have fun with the people you're playing with than see it as a second paycheck.

Gnomes is a great dm and is willing to put in work with you to make a character and tell a story. He's friendly and happy to answer questions, collaborate, and help with ideas to get you to work with the party. He's kind and the community that he has are awesome for the most part. He interacts with his players outside of games and does his absolute best. However, the first issue I ran into was the lack of battle maps. It isn't stated (as of the time of writing this) if he does or does not use them on the adventurer page. I wish I'd known joining in about his use of Theatre of the Mind due to my inability to imagine. The second issue I ran into was the constraints on some classes. Due to the setting it was highly unfavourable to play certain classes because you would not be able to acquire spell components, yet the book he used for this instance added spells that required high gold cost components, but it was impossible to get. So should you have played that class, it would have been a disadvantage. This was not explicitly stated either upon talking about setting or character creation or design until spells that require spell components were questioned. I cannot say the second issue is a permanent one and more than likely relies on setting, but I would highly suggest talking to him about any character design first- and if you are going to use spells make sure you have the ability to get what you need, even if the spells are higher level.

Justin always has interesting plot lines and ways to engage with players no matter where the adventure takes place. He always has interesting maps and mechanics for dungeons that are always fun to interact with. He excels at player freedom when it comes to creation. His rules allow you to make a character custom to the story you want to tell and have combinations not normally allowed by standard rules. I would recommend him to anyone wanting to find new ways to explore character building.

Fable Weavers

If you enjoy games with an experienced dm, then joining this group isn't a bad option or even if you're new. With animated maps and soundtracks for the encounters you come across, the games are immersive and has a good balance of combat and roleplay between the players on the tables I've been on. If you're new to the game or unsure of rules, the dm can easily break it down and will answer any questions you have about them in a timely manner on and off the game board.
