Ash is a dedicated and enthusiastic DM who clearly puts a lot of effort into crafting a challenging and engaging experience. He runs combat smoothly, keeps the pace moving, and brings strong energy to the table. It's obvious he's passionate about Barovia and has a strong vision for how the story should unfold. At times, he can seem a little impatient when things slow down or when players are still getting their bearings — but it comes from a place of wanting to keep the momentum and excitement high. While I realized I personally prefer more downtime and heavier roleplay, I still genuinely enjoyed the sessions I spent adventuring under his guidance. Anyone who loves tactical encounters and fast-paced gameplay will be in great hands with Ash. Wishing him all the best as he continues guiding brave souls through the mists!🦇
I’ve been this player’s DM for about 9 months, and he’s been a fantastic part of the table from the very beginning. He’s creative and funny, always finding ways to bring his characters to life in ways that make the whole group laugh and stay engaged. He plays with a strong “it’s what my character would do” style, but what really stands out is how considerate he is—he always checks in with the group to make sure his choices add to the fun rather than take away from it. He’s friendly, collaborative, and respectful of everyone at the table, making sessions smoother and more enjoyable for all. Any player would be lucky to have him as their DM!
Humblewood is an absolute gem of a TTRPG setting, especially if you’re looking for something a bit cozier and more whimsical than your standard D&D fare. I ran a campaign in it, and my players loved the unique birdfolk and humblefolk races—it really gives the world a fresh vibe. The setting’s tone strikes a great balance between light-hearted adventure and meaningful stakes, with the threat of the Everblaze adding some real tension. Plus, the artwork and lore are gorgeous and easy to incorporate. On the flip side, some of the subclasses felt a little underwhelming in play compared to base 5e options, and parts of the main storyline could use a bit more depth for longer campaigns. Still, it’s a fantastic setting for DMs who want something different without sacrificing engaging gameplay.
Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen is an awesome return to the iconic world of Krynn, blending classic Dragonlance lore with the streamlined 5e ruleset. One major pro is how it captures the epic war-torn feel of the setting, with large-scale battles and moral choices that actually feel weighty. The integration with Warriors of Krynn for mass combat is a cool touch, too. On the flip side, the campaign’s pacing can feel rushed in parts, especially if you’re not using the board game, and newer players might miss out on some of the deeper Dragonlance context. Still, if you’re craving a high-stakes, war-driven fantasy adventure with a nostalgic vibe, this one’s definitely worth a look.
