A masterclass in adapting the stunning world of Brandon Sanderson. This game sits where mechanical mastery and narrative exploration meet. If you want to explore the world of Sanderson hands on, this is the way to do it. With the Stormlight setting, you get to explore the fantastic world of Roshar with the epic highstorms and grand politics. This game leaves behind the class model of leveling, instead using the diverse talents trees for flexible and unique character building. The plot die adds an explosive layer to the game, adding opportunities and complications that layer the narrative on thick and expand beyond the succeed/fail model. The magic system is rugged, yet flexible, with skills that encourage improvisation and are designed to be used creatively. No more games of casting fireball every session. Conflict is a dream with meaningful and diverse implementation. Robust combat rules that go alongside the rules for conversation and other forms of conflict. You can fight your way through the game or tactfully master negotiation.
