Dragonbane is an excellent RPG system , based on the old "Drakar & Demoner" Swedish RPG, but completely modernized by Free League, but keeping most of the old RPG system's charm . The system itself is very streamlined and easy to understand, easy to play but hard to master rings very true here. It removes all unnecessary fluff and focuses on a simple but hard campaign experience. In Dragonbane you are not invulnerable super heroes, but just normal people adventuring and the combat is really really fast and deadly, for both sides, without being unfair or cheap . A large fight only lasts about 20 minutes maximum , usually most fights are about 10 minutes, with quick rounds and good action economy for everything. One thing I love about the system is their travel system , traveling on the wilderness is a challenge and if you are ill equipped , your party will have some hardship! Want to traverse a swamp without good quality boots? prepare to have leeches in your feet , want to sleep but don't have a sleeping roll and a blanket? prepare to have to fight the cold if you can even sleep at all. All adventuring gear in this system has a clear use and a consequence or hardship you can avoid if you use it. The Magic system is excellent as well, Magic here is dangerous and feels like it , always randomized effects and real problems if you fail to cast a spell, or other unintended consequences , however, magic is also very powerful when used right. The oficial starter set module is also the most complete I have seen in a long time, you get a lot for your buck, from the complete rules, to an awesome introductory campaign, decks for items, standees for monsters, lots of things. As most of my games are digital, I also own Dragonbane on Foundry VTT and the quality of the official modules are also excellent for that system Anyway, the last thing to say is that definitely this game is worth your time , very fun, good fast combat and awesome mechanics. 10/10

Ryan is a great DM! I have been playing in one of his games for a while and I'm pretty happy with him as a DM and the group, always fostering a positive environment , his knowledge of the rules and the campaign is great and his style is well balanced, plenty of roleplay, combat and exploration on his sessions . Definitely recommended!
