At the time of writing this review, I’ve played with Duncan for less than a month, but it’s been a fun experience. He has an old-school DM style in the best way possible. You can tell he has a lot of experience and understands how to make the game both fun and challenging, with the right balance of danger and reward. One of his biggest strengths is how much he commits to player ideas. He doubles down on your decisions and makes your actions feel meaningful. The world feels alive, the monsters feel genuinely dangerous, and heroic moments feel earned. You can absolutely pull off memorable moments, but if you make reckless decisions, the world will punish you for it. His visual presentation is fantastic. Every session feels vivid, and when he runs horror, it actually feels like horror instead of just "fantasy with spooky music". If you enjoy deadly combat, overwhelming odds, and tense encounters, grab a spot and have some fun.

S3too is an outstanding storyteller. His scenes are vividly described, full of atmosphere, and engaging in tone. If you're seeking a true horror experience where shadows seem alive and danger lurks around every corner, this is the DM for you.

Zhakata excels at vivid descriptions and incredible city-building, making the world feel vast, alive, and constantly evolving. Every scene introduces new details to explore, and the city truly feels massive and lived-in. Combat is outstanding, clean, dynamic, and fully transparent with Avrae and a real initiative tracker, no hidden rolls. Everything feels meaningful, grounded, and real, which makes the game deeply engaging.

I haven’t been playing with Chase for long, but it’s already clear how strong a DM he is. His storytelling is excellent, his combat and NPCs are outstanding, and the sessions feel fun and engaging. He creates a collaborative experience where players feel involved in shaping a story that’s interactive, interesting, and genuinely enjoyable.

I discovered Joshua Orsak’s text-based TTRPG system by chance, luckily found the free version, and was instantly hooked. The solo unlimited creativity format drew me in. I upgraded early to the paid version, dropped around $80 USD bucks for a monthly text experience, and haven’t regretted it, we are in our first week and boy oh boy what a thrill. As a DM, I learned a lot from these quick sessions and quickly add this text flavor to my group—everyone loved the fast-paced, interactive style. Joshua’s own ruleset keeps momentum high. If you can play with him, do it. You won’t regret the immersive, thrilling experience. Remember... Here, your choices matter!
