John is, in my opinion, a very dedicated DM that will help you play out the adventure you want if you merely just ask. I think he shines with more roleplay heavy adventures, willing to do voices and get involved, and will often allow the players space to work out their roles ect. If you are signing up for a heavy narrative experience, I don't feel like you can do any wrong with most games. Where you may find the experience lacking is in the handling of mechanics and heavy combat, as well as darker themes, these are areas that I find his work can suffer. I personally feel like he is willing to work past these issues if you merely have a conversation about them. Ultimately, if you are open and honest about your needs and criticism. I do feel that he will work to achieve your goals and craft a better experience. A very fair DM. -Cali
