About me
I am fairly new to D&D, but have fallen completely in love with it over the past few years as I have bit by bit put together the pieces. I just want to get started really playing. What I am most looking for is a community of players, I want to be a part of a party. That and what the DM brings to the table are why I’m here. Lover of (specifically) books and tv, I like long form entrainment far more than an entertainment medium like a movie. I prefer short films or short stories if it’s a one off. I am an aspiring voice actor, speech language pathologist, and writer - so D&D is kind of the perfect place to play. If you are a DM you are likely already my favorite kind of person; highly creative, typically possessing of a big heart, good with people, and a critical thinker. Those are the traits I aspire to (and I hope, emulate), in fact, a DM is what I hope to eventually become; to me, that is the endgame. That and making as many friends along the way as I can

Reviews I've given (3)
It is very hard to write this review. Because 1,000 characters are not enough for the praise I want to heap on this girl. I have been a part of over a dozen campaigns at this point, hers is my longest running and I haven't missed a single session. Joannah is probably the smartest dm I've played with. Anytime I or any of her other players trust her with our characters she blows us away. Joannah is one of one at creating excellent scenes for her players to role play and feel awesome in. Joannah's campaign makes me feel how I've only felt when reading The Lord of The Rings for the first time or watching GOT when it was good - I look forward to her game more than any other piece of entertainment I get to enjoy. She is great to just talk to and honestly just a lovely person on top of being an absolutely killer dm. Legitimately, if you don't get a chance to play with this dm you are missing out. Many of my best memories with dnd so far I owe to this stellar dm. Thanks Joannah
Do not sleep on this dm! Izzie is a talented writer and world builder and [the only] creator of a homebrew world where I came to that world and felt it was more fleshed out than any book/module setting except maybe The Crooked Moon - which I would say her worlds are on par with. For any of you who have played The Crooked Moon you know what high praise that is. Izzie is incredibly warm and kind - she's also patient. She's really creative and helpful in the character creation process. Her players are always enthused to be there and she's good at giving everyone their time in the spotlight. I joined one of her campaigns and immediately joined another. I'm considering joining a third. If you want an original experience that will not disappoint, in worlds filled with Matt Mercer levels of wonder, filled with exceptional music and art, with some of the coolest baddies + npcs you'll ever meet, to feel welcomed and a part of a family of dnd players - then I can't recommend Izzie highly enough.
Absolutely killer dm. I'll get my 'mosts' out of the way first; Most personable dm I've played with, and the Most technically sound. She is good at incorporating your character into the mix - I've jumped into the middle of two of her campaigns and she took it in her stride - she doesn't leave her pcs sidelined and gives everyone the spotlight. Athena is incredibly welcoming. Flexible with peoples' crazy schedules and I get the sense that if I had to leave a campaign she'd welcome me back. She will surprise you with excellent and immersive voices for her characters that will come seemingly out of nowhere, that's another 'Most' I forgot actually - she could go full-time as a voice actor. If you're looking for a dm who is a genuinely good person, smart, talented, knows the game, and has a razor-sharp attention to detail - Athena's your girl.
