Jay was wonderful at helping our characters come alive during session zero. They made sure to include us in fleshing out the world we would be spending our time in and we all were able to have a say in what kind of story we wanted to tell. He is super gifted in making people feel comfortable and he was great at being the ice breaker for a bunch of strangers to form a fun party dynamic. There were also beautiful visuals provided and great cinematic descriptions given that transported us to where we were and introduced us to NPC's. As a boring but really important side note: Jay had the virtual table top we were using completely ready to go with some really awesome modules to make using a VTT as seamless as possible and they were great at explaining how it worked. You can tell that not only is Jay an experienced GM in general but they also have a lot of experience with the VTT they use. Over all: Jay is a super kind, descriptive, creative, patient, very prepared GM who still kept us on our toes and kept it interesting. Jay would be a fantastic GM for experienced players or beginners to ttrpgs or even just playing online. I've played with a few different GMs now all of varying experience on StartPlaying and Jay really stands out even among the GMs that have been on this site a while!

Mr. Apocalypse created a super interesting and lore rich world for us to explore. He was very welcoming to me as a new player and made sure to encourage us as players to use just as much of our creativity in creating our characters and the world as well. He came prepared with nice visuals and fun NPC's to play off of. Can't wait to play more to see what our little adventure party will get up to in our upcoming quests!
