About me

I love bringing my characters to life! In my spare time, I can be found writing stories for my characters and lore-building their world, creating art, or immersing myself in a good book. I connect deeply with my creations and I love to tell their tales.

Tl;dr: AWESOME. :D First and foremost, I love a good story, and it's really, really good. I don't really know what's going on yet, but as the pieces are unfolding, it only makes me more invested each session. PC motives, history, and relationships are a strong point that interweave and play a part in the overall arcs with plenty of things and directions to go. The world has a lot of lore and feels very immersive. I've been able to introduce personal characters and ideas over from my own lore and Yahya has been awesome integrating them and working with me to fit them into his world in a way that makes sense. It really makes me feel appreciated as a player and that my own creativity, imagination, and input are considered and valued. Yahya is really open to creative roleplaying and while knowing the rules very well, allows for spontaneous player shenanigans which adds a lot of fun, even when things go badly for us! Again, it's all about a great story. I've always been a big fan of discovery over instant gratification and there are plot twists and reveals which only serve to draw me in further. My own characters are developing in ways that add more shades of gray to their own complexities, and that is spurred on by the passion that Yahya puts in every session. It's easily one of the things I look forward to every week.

GM Gene

I've been a player Gene's games for many years. I have always had a great time. He is knowledgeable about the rules of the games he runs and also is very open to adding custom tweaks/homebrew for the enjoyment of the players. He encourages thinking outside of the box (we've had hilariously memorable moments) and works player antics into the story. Characters are made to feel a part of the worlds he creates while having plenty of personal plot that evolves and changes over time, especially if we do something out of left field that he runs with or files away for later use (think Telltale Games "<NPC> will remember that.) I can't wait to get back into our main campaign!
