Normally I wait a few sessions before posting a review, but I have been very impressed by Galdizan already. I joined a campaign already in progress, which I was a bit nervous about, but Galdizan helped to give me some context for the story and a way my character could be introduced relatively organically. From what I have seen, he is knowledgeable, helpful, and skilled at the ins and outs of Foundry; he also has the most thorough on-boarding process I've seen from a GM, and took steps to ensure I felt comfortable and was a good fit for the group's vibe. Overall, great job so far, and I'm looking forward to future sessions!
Josh is a great GM in the ways you might expect: friendly and personable, a good understanding of the rules, good maps/music/NPC voices and interactions, etc. He is also exceedingly patient with new players (whether new to a TTRPG system or just Foundry in general). He is very flexible with incorporating optional rules on a group-by-group basis (such as using things like ancestry paragon, 3rd party content, etc.), but often leaves the final decision up to a group vote, so your experience may vary depending on your specific fellow players. Overall a good experience so far; thanks!
I don't have a ton of experience with paid GMs, but Mancer is the best I have encountered; he is very personable and clearly passionate about TTRPGs. Unlike some GMs that are only "present" during the 3-4 hour session (and then disappear into the ether until the next game), Mancer is engaged with his players and willing to assist/communicate outside of scheduled sessions. He fosters an environment where everyone can feel comfortable, and is also patient with those of us who are relatively new to the tools in Foundry. In short, my experience has only been positive so far, and I look forward to many future sessions!
