Ethan is a fantastic DM. I joined his in-progress campaign about halfway through as a fairly inexperienced IRL D&D Player that had never played online on a virtual tabletop. He flawlessly assimilated my character idea into the plot, and helped me understand how to use the online system. I recommend him to both new and experienced players alike, and implore you to not be concerned with joining one of his campaigns that is already underway. From a mechanics perspective, he knows the rules very well; and in the rare occasions he has to look something up he admits he needs a second to check. I have never seen him arbitrarily make calls using DM armor. He is also very clear about his flexible absence policy and has worked with players when real life situations pop up. I know people are skeptical and jaded when reading reviews, as nowadays many are AI-generated or exceedingly positive; but I will always recommend him as a DM, and am also not a robot (i would hope that my grammatical issues and extensive use of semicolons would help you believe this isn't AI)

Randall did a fantastic job at displaying competent knowledge of the game, and competency at employing the "rule of cool". Will definitely book future sessions!

This GM will work with you on incorporating your crazy ideas into the game sessions. He routinely adds in shenanigans that the players dream up and completely mess up his plans. If you're looking for a GM that will bend the rules as written to promote fun in the campaign, he is for you.
