It is impossible to convey in a short review just how amazing it is to have Josh as a DM. He is able to expertly deliver on everything D&D has to offer — immersive worlds that react authentically to your choices, brilliantly voice-acted NPCs, compelling original stories, and thrilling, dynamic encounters that keep you engaged at every moment. In the 20+ years I’ve been playing RPGs I have been fortunate enough to have played with some of the most talented (and now famous) DMs out there and I can still say with complete and total honesty that Josh is my favorite. It's extremely rare to find a DM that has both top notch game design chops as well as world-class storytelling and improvisational skills, but Josh has both. His games are a truly wonderful blend of meaningful character-driven stories, rich worlds, and crunch. His mastery of virtual tools creates a deeply immersive experience. You're looking at beautiful backdrop art and maps while listening to fantastic music choices in literally every scene. I've been blown away by Josh's encounter design and custom systems for downtime, magical item shopping, war campaigns, and many other systems he cooks up to make the game feel real and engaging. Josh also cares deeply about his players and creating experiences that they personally will enjoy. He’s a kind, patient, and intensely creative person that loves this game, and it really shows.
