Don't miss out! Ash is a fantastic GM and I give him the highest recommendation. We just finished a campaign with Ash -- these are a few of the things that we really enjoyed and appreciated. (1) Amazing world building. Everyone says that, I know, but not everyone *really* does it. Maps, background, history, art, a complex world to inhabit. You can tell he appreciates and enjoys his craft. (2) A game that is challenging and exciting in different and unusual ways. We had some very cool sequences that were full of dramatic tension and challenges, and required the players to use their skills and abilities, but they were not limited to hack-n-slash. Chase scenes, stealth scenes, escape scenes, infiltration scenes, politics/role-playing scenes, believable/witty/dangerous traps. Sequences that I'd never done before. At times it felt like being in an Indiana Jones movie. (3) We were PF2E rookies but Ash was an excellent teacher while keeping the game pace up and never bogging down. (4) Interesting story lines and some fantastic twists in the plot. GREAT storytelling and plot. It was like being a character in a good fantasy novel. It was definitely much more than just a dungeon crawl. (5) But plenty of combat and it was very challenging -- be ready to use your brain and to face intelligent, skilled adversaries. (6) Pure, unadulterated fun - Ash has a great sense of humor. He's a real artist with building the adventure. Try him, I don't think you'll be disappointed. Also, if there is something you want to do or try, and you have a concept you want to play, Ash is the person who can bring it to life.
Allie was great -- highly recommend her for both game play and teaching the game. She knows the game inside and out and applies the rules in a way that makes the game more fun to play. Very patient and helpful in getting started and learning the ropes. The game play itself had everything you could ask for: immersive storytelling, sounds, music, voices; interesting NPCs and world building; good role play interaction for the characters; interesting and challenging encounters. She doesn't pigeonhole or railroad the characters. Flexible as needed. Also, worth noting -- her mastery of the VTT and the plot was exceptional so it made for a really smooth game.
Highly recommend. Excellent instruction and patience for beginners and learners, but with fun, creative, challenging play that would certainly entertain experienced players. She patiently taught character creation and getting set up with all the gameplay systems and Roll20/D&D Beyond, but had us quickly moving into a fun-filled, creative, mysterious, challenging adventure. We had to think, role play, engaged with NPCs, fight, solve puzzles. Encounters were appropriate for our level and experience but very challenging. A+ and highly recommend.
