Jess is the kind of DM that makes a game seem magical and fantastical again, no matter how many years you've been playing. She really manages to bring back the feeling of playing the game for the first time and the excitement that comes with it. She's fair in her rulings and is fantastic at narration and making you feel like you're right there in whatever world you're playing in. Highly recommend.
This DM advertised his game as using the D&D 5e ruleset but when I got onto the discord server, he proceeded to give me a PDF document with a full rewrite of the system which he had 'balanced.' The game was advertised as being 5th edition, not some homebrew of the DM's own devising. I feel like this game was falsely advertised because of this. In the future, I would advise him to have more transparency with his players and not falsely advertise his games.
Dan not only knows his rules but he knows how to describe even the most mundane activities with panache and charisma. He really makes you feel like you're character is right there and immersed in the environment. If you're looking for good RP, challenging combats and inclusivity, he's the man to go to. (Also, he has a really cool British accent).
Jim is the kind of DM who not only takes the game seriously, but also sets a mood with both the use of music and with the tone of his voice. His narration is crisp, perfectly delivered and if you're looking for something with a grimdark setting, he's the guy to go to. I highly recommend him and as a DM myself of 20+ years, I'd recommend him always.
