Hey everyone, I’m Jess she/her/hers) and I’m so grateful to you for checking out my profile! A bit about me; I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community, based in London (England) and I love telling stories. I hope you find the info you’re looking for here but if not, just drop me a message. I actually tell stories for a living (in a very corporate environment!), so it was really no surprise that I fell in love with TTRPGs when I came across D&D 5e (fifth edition) a couple of years ago. Despite coming late to the TTRPG scene, I’ve played hundreds of hours of games and I’m building my experience GMing - running games both in person and online. My values guide every game at my table. It’s pretty simple really - everyone is welcome, we don’t tolerate intolerance, and let’s have fun telling stories together. I want my players to feel like they belong, to feel safe, and to enjoy themselves. I love bringing D&D 5e to new players. I know how intimidating it can be to jump into something new and I want to help you learn while you play. If you’ve never played before and you’re looking to start I promise you that my games will be a positive place to start. I’m an expert on the rules of fifth edition, and I like to think I’m a good teacher! My games are a mix of all pillars of D&D 5e. There will be roleplaying, there will be exploration, and there will be combat. If my players have strong preferences for a particular part of the game then I will look to adapt sessions to suit these preferences. Personally, I love complex combat encounters and giving my players complex moral dilemmas - but I know everyone is different. As a TTRPG player your imagination is your biggest asset. I use the Alchemy RPG virtual table-top to run my games which is specifically built for theater of the mind style play. I love the atmosphere and energy it helps to convey and it suits my style of GMing. If you’ve never used Alchemy before it's very straightforward and is completely free for you to use and enjoy. If you want to see Alchemy in action you can view the trailer online. We use tactical battlemaps for most combat encounters and I hope to build on this further as the platform’s capabilities grow. I have a full D&D Beyond subscription with all content sharing enabled to allow you to build and shape your characters before I import them over to the virtual table-top. I use Discord for session planning and communicating with my players, but we use the built-in communications tools in the Alchemy virtual table-top for communicating in game (mic required, camera optional). The themes of my games vary hugely so if you don’t see one that you like the look of do check back another time for new games! GM style

My games are a mix of all pillars of D&D 5e. Here there be roleplaying, there be exploration, and there be combat. Personally, I love complex combat encounters (where the objective isn't always just 'kill all the bad guys') and I absolutely adore bringing interesting NPCs to life. I want to bring the game I'm GMing to life for my players. But I can be flexible - if there's something you really love, or anything you don't, let me know and I'll see what I can adapt to make sure you have the best time possible!
