I have been playing with Windstep for a few years (Stars Without Numbers and Pathfinder 2e). I have played with multiple groups and GMs - and, without doubt, he is the best GM that I ever had :) You can easily tell that he puts a lot of heart and work into his games. High quality is the norm here. He is the perfect GM if you are looking for games with a focus on exploration and deep worldbuilding/lore to engage with. Strong points: - interesting exploration; you learn the world through the eyes of your characters (no boring info dumps here!); - descriptions never miss to set the right atmosphere; - the world (factions, locations, points of interests, etc.) is engaging and inviting; - PCs backgrounds and goals are taken into account and matter; - the PCs have an impact on the story. The intrigues are rather open ended and Windstep allows for player creativity and creative problem solving. The consequences of our decisions are fair; - the GM is never the enemy of our PCs. Instead, we work together on building a compelling story and challenges; - the PCs are allowed to grow and have character arcs; - a good balance between serious storytelling and some silliness typical to TTRPGs; - great visual aids and good use of VTT support; - deep understanding of rules.
