Matt is a fantastic GM, especially for those looking to get into a new system and who want to role play. I have been learning the Cypher system with him in an Old Gods of Appalachia game and it has been a blast. Matt has been very patient with all of us learning the system while also ensuring that the general tone and atmosphere of a good horror story is maintained even as we ask mechanics questions. He also gives everyone plenty of opportunity to role play their characters and allows the players to drive the story and interact with each other. Overall it has been a fantastic immersive experience and I always look forward to the next session.

A fantastic re-introduction to D&D for someone who hasn't played in a couple decades. He took the time to figure out everyone's background in gaming and tailored the game to that. I was also impressed that instead of doing a purely mechanical set of combats for the beginner's session, he weaved some storytelling in and even had us all share some character traits to establish a role-playing baseline. I would definitely recommend WitherAries for those looking to get into or back into TTRPG.
