I've just recently finished a 2.5 year campaign with Miguel, and for background, when I started I had just decided I wanted to learn how to play D&D but was having trouble finding local in-person games. I saw a posting here for one of Miguel's games with wording that seemed very open to and accepting of beginners, so I decided to give it a shot - and I'm so glad I did! Miguel is the pinnacle of patience, openness, and reassurance - which I realized (as I explored other campaigns) are qualities that not every GM has toward beginners. He is always extremely well prepared and sets scenes so carefully; he paints vivid pictures in your mind with his descriptions, uses amazing voices, and loves getting just the right background music for the mood. He is always quick to smile and laugh and engage with players both during and outside of sessions. Over these last two and a half years I have learned SO much with the help of Miguel and my fellow players and have had so much fun. I truly wasn't expecting to get so sucked into my character and the world, and the story really put me through the emotional wringer at times, but luckily laughing to the point of crying was by far the most common emotional outburst I had. I honestly could not have asked for a better first campaign. If you are new to ttrpgs and want to give it a shot, I sincerely think you should give Miguel a try! I'm looking forward to playing with him again in the future :)

He was _really_ great. I'd never played any kind of RPing game before, and he was able to walk me through all the mechanics, and very patiently explained everything I asked about and more. When I got stuck and didn't know what to do, he was always very chill and let me laugh at myself (repeatedly). What a great intro experience :)
