So after a campaign with Tyler where I was there from the beginning all the way to its end, I think it's safe to say he really does understand the experience of what TTRPGs are supposed to be. Fun, engaging, and a way to delve into creative storytelling without sacrificing the game aspect. He's great with improvisation as well as fantastic at working with the players in terms of the type of games they want. He is very patient with people and understands the rules of the games he is running. And most importantly, Tyler understands how to tell a story with a great grasp on tone while keeping up with everything that has happened in the campaign. He's great with beginners, but veterans of the hobby likely will have a great time as well.
